Oooops we must have posted at the same time Susan...& just seen you long post.

Sounds like today has been challenging so sending a big ((Hug)) to you both. There will be good days and not so good days but the long drive will take its toll and sounds like Alan needs to rest and rebuild his strength.

Your Mam seems in good spirits anyway...smiling is always good.

Got a bargain in Tesco today...you would have been proud of me....a large cooked gammon joint from the hot counter £1.75 !! ...was yummy and did tea for 4 !! :D

Hope tomorrow is a better day & if not then hopefully you can sit out in the sunshine and just chill out.

    Take care x

It is that 'expecting them to be in a certain place' or 'do a certain thing' that is hard to cope with. But you and remaining doggie must support each other as they will be missing the other one too

I do know how you feel hun. We share so much of our lives with the little blighters but, as you know, you have to remember all the good memories and smile at those :D Be glad that they chose you to look after their every whim and allowed you to love them, unconditionally

Dogs are wonderful but their lifespan is so short compared to ours, it seems so cruel when they go :(

    Hey everyone'
    Hope all are well.
Happy Anniversary for yesterday Susan and Alan! 31 years well done!

Sorry to hear Alan is not too good at the moment, don't know about you but I just want to give Nick some of my energy! Glad your'e enjoying your time in the Toon!
Our oncology appointment was poo, disease is progressing, but I didn't really need them to tell me that, when you have lived with someone for 30+yrs you just know. Still hoping for miracle though for us and for you two!

Hugs to you SSA, its awful to lose your dog, they are so important to us all.

Beanie it would have been impossible not to gain weight in France! don't feel bad holidays are meant to be for indulgence!

Look after yourself and your dear husband Susan.

    Take care all
