awww hun, I have no suggestions for you :(

3Dogs, have you contacted your local Council? I read today that most people don't realise they can ask their Council to come out and see what assistance they may be entitled to.

Yes I did thanks hun. It is Cambs County Council for Social Services here and they sent the Occupational Therapist who got the crutches for Alan and also the 4-wheel seated walker that came yeaterday and he used today :j She also notified our Housing Association that small adaptations were required to the bungalow, so we now have the HA's Occ Therapist coming to assess Alan's needs on 19th April :D

Just thought, did you mean general assisitance rather that aids/adaptations? Our Housing Assoc do have a Welfare Officer who we could contact for advice, if that is what you mean, but I guess they would just do what CAB are doing for us

no, I think it is Social Services that are sent by the Council that I was reading about. They can help with things like bars in the bathroom for extra support, etc, Sounds like you have it all under control :)

am I the only saddo who really likes the EDF blue energy advert, the full length one?

just watched extreme couponing and now watching hoarding, buried alive. Hoarding, you just want to take them out, give them a big cuddle, and then demolish the house!

Not sure which advert it is Aesop. I google it and got youtube link to 1 min advert where he is on all the electric appliances. Is that it? Mind you I am sure I have seen another one on the telly, with him in bird bath??? anyway, yes I like them - they are fun to watch, make me feel good and that ain't bad at all :j

Off to bed now, so goodnight guys - sleep well

Might be worth having a wee word with HA worker.
