Oh dear Beanie, that's not good
It is a terrible pain
Try hot and cold - ice pack for 20 minutes then hot water bottle for 20 minutes - that should relieve some of the pain hun

Unfortunately Alan didn't do 3 years service with TA. It was before I met him but I am sure he said he only did just under two yearsbut thanks for looking it up for me :T

Your blue 'credit card' is your membership card which you need to hand over every week when you pay and then again when you weigh, as it identifies you on their computer system. It should have your name written in that strip, just to identify it as your's. By the way, did they give you a PIN for the wewbsite? They may have written inside your book on the page with your name and contact details of your consultant, or may have given it to you separately. You use the number from your membership card ignoring the 0 at the beginning together with this PIN number to register with the website. Then you set your own password which you will use in future with your email address to gain access to the site. The website is fantastic - loads of recipes, menu plans, features, etc plus you can look up almost any item to find their syn value ... and you can log your weight loss/[STRIKE]gain[/STRIKE] each week and it keeps a record on there
If you haven't got your PIN, ask for it at your next class as your fee includes use of the website

Well, we had a good day today :j
got up early and were down at car boot at 8.30am. Had a cuppa with our friend Stuart and when he left we had a wander around the stalls, with Alan using his new walker. I asked him as we walked away from the van if it was OK and he said he felt foolish with it but it did the job and he certainly needed it
From there we went tot he auction rooms for a browse but nothing there of interest to us for home, so I left Alan chatting to porters while I nipped round corner with Bess's wee sample but I'd trapped some grass cuttings in the tube so it was contaminated and I was told to try to get another one
When we got home, Alan had a cuppa and then went to bed because he was tired as we'd been out for over 2 1/2 hours. The District Nurse came just after 12 noon and after she'd changed his dressing she said that it would probably be healed over by the end of next week, so they would probably only need to come a week after that and then call in every so often to check on him on a permanent basis. Alan told her "you can't keep away from me can you?" :rotfl:
The Macmillan Nurse was due at 1pm but it was nearer 2pm when she arrived. she just came to introduce herself and have a chat to get to know each other and see if we had any problems. She also checked whether Alan would prefer to be at home as long as possible when his condition worsened rather than hospital, which he did. He said the only thing we hadn't discussed was what would happen to me after he was goneHe didn't know if I would stay here to be close to all our friends or go back up North to be with family. I said I would stay here a while but would eventually want to move back up near all my family as my health would only get worse and I would need them close by then, plus to be close to my niece's 2 lovely daughters, currently 6 and 10, to see them grow up. Also, if my Mam was still alive then I would want to be up there helping to visit her in the home and look after her needs, which would take a great burden off my sister in particular
The Macmillan Nurse was very disappointed to hear the problems we'd had getting help with Alan's DLA forms etc, and apologised that we had not received the help we needed as quickly as it should have been. Anyway, she was lovely and we are to ring her if we have any questions, otherwise she will ring us every two weeks and visit us when needed
When she left, I got another wee sample from Bess, minus grass, and we popped back into town to hand it in at the vets and then called for fish & chips for tea
alan had another nap after that, but got up just before 8pm to watch live S'oton v Reading match on Sky and then went back to bed
