Hiya gang - hope you've got better weather than us where you are :( Rain early on and now just damp and windy - typical Easter holiday weather ;)

So we decided to just have a lazy day. I had lie in and then I got up and Alan had a nap. Going to have a shower soon and then wake Alan up for the afternoon footie programme. District Nurse not due to later as she said we might want to get out for the day

Well a pretty good Easter! 2 dark chocolate lindt bunnies from my lovely children, a flake egg from Nemo the dog and a homemade strawberry trifle from son's g/f cos Nick doesn't like chocolate but loves trifle!!
Susan how is Alans wound doing? Are they using the seaweed stuff? Hope its healing nicely so he can have his chemo when the time comes.
    with love

Oooh lovely ML - lots of choccie and it's odd about the trifle for Nick as Alan, who was a chocoholic and not too bothered with trifles, has gone off chocolate and eats a whole family trifle every day, with squirty cream on top of the real cream  - he loves them as they are a nice refreshing taste, just what he needs at the moment

3Dogs wanders off to have words with Bess and Molly coz they never got her any eggs :( ................ :rotfl: :rotfl:

Whoops MandyLou, I just realised that I didn't reply about Alan's wound :o District Nurse came at 2.15pm, just as I had started to wash my hair in the shower, so Alan had to get oput of bed to open door and I had to quickly wash and get dried. Bad timing   She is great this one though always has a good laugh, though they are all good actually. Anyway, dressing last changed Friday and she said quite a bit more blood than normal but wound very clean with just small open section. Yes, they pack it with the seaweed gauze and then a small waterproof dressing. There is no sign of any infection or anything un-towards :D We see the consultant on Tuesday 24th we hope to find out if they need to keep it open or can let it heal

I have been thinking that you and Nick are much younger than us, and I think I am right, considering your kids. I'd put you both early to mid 40's? It must be so much harder for Nick with a family, and your future ahead of you :( I am 58 and Alan is 62, so I think that makes it easier to deal with

    Hey everyone!
Glad that the wound is healing Susan, sounds awful but blood is better than gunge!
Nicks tastes changed so much after surgery, used to drink coffee but now only tea also doesn,t touch alcohol but was a regular pint drinker!
We are 55 Nick and 52 Me, 32 years married this year and our children are Hannah 25 lives 3/4 miles away and Dominic 23 still at home, hope Nick is around to see them married and meet his grandchildren but we have to wait and see. :-(
Had my Dad over for lunch today Whoopsied beef, G/f's trifle all washed down with cheap M&S wine!!
Nick was happy that West Ham got a draw!
Susan I don't think its ever easy to deal with no matter what your age is :-( we just have to get on with it and make the most of it).
(think I've forgotten how to do smileys but don't want to re-type!)
    Take care all
    Much love

I do hope everyone had a good Easter, shame about the cold, wet and windy weather today. Had a good day here as we went out all day to a preserved railway line and enjoyed the nostalgia of steam engines :0)
