:oYes I did go back to work, for all of 3 week's, but I was sent back to work still with infected spot's on my leg, with the Doc's instrution's of keep 'em covered up and a course of antib's to take, it help but there was 3 very stuburn one's, which have decided to go for it and turn in to open, weeping spot's so I went back to Doc{seen a diffrent 1} who was  at the sight of 'em and gave me a stronger course of antib's, signed me off again, wanted fasting blood test done and packed me off to see the nurse and have my leg dressed, but they are healing, and good news, the blood test came back as normal:D, but when my Dad saw my leg he told me that my Gran and 1 of my great aunt's had the same thing on their leg's so look's like it's some thing I'm going to have to get use to.:o

Ouch Boult glad the bloods were ok, but hope they heal properly and is not an ongoing thing for you :(:(

    Twas for me Aesop.

Eek boult.Hope they are on mend soon.

Hope you get some good sales 3dogs.

I didn't go to the auction but will be going in on Monday or early Tuesday with some other bits so will find out then. It would be useful if they raise a bit of money but there wasn't anything too special amongst the stuff so not expecting too much. I am going to put the pile of vinyl wood-effect floor tiles in too. We have had them for about 3 years  but Alan only managed to get them down in the hall, and never had the time or was fit enough to put them down. I got them with Focus vouchers I won on an online competition in 2009, and they cost about £75 or £100, so will put a reserve of £20 on them. Molly has had a nibble at the corners of some packs though  They are the strips of vinyl, rather like laminate but self-adhesive vinyl and do look good down, but in any case, Alan would like us to get carpet through the house to make it warmer and we will do that, as soon as puppy is fully house-trained. It will at least be one less thing cluttering up the house ;)

Alan stayed up from 12.15 pm till 8.30 pm which is the longest he's been up. He watched Sunderland get a draw in the FA Cup Quarter Final, then Soccer Special, and when I went to bed for a nap from 5.30 and 7.30 pm, he watched Sky Sports News, etc. He has had an appetite today too. He actually asked for cheese on toast during the match and had 2 slices, then had a Magnum an hour or do later, and asked for some chocolate when I got up from my nap, so, with his croissant with butter and jam for brekkie, he has eaten quite well today considering :D:D

He did say, when I asked him how he was before I went for my nap as I was surprised he wasn't going to bed himself, that he felt really good today :j :j :j :j

So glad to hear Alan is feeling better, football can have that effect sometimes:rotfl:

I must admit I picked up after I had got home, my stoma nurse told me I would be better as soon as I had got away from hospital food - I had been in hosp 2 months and the night I got out we had a chinese and an indian the night after. I just wanted something that tasted of something :D

We also had a puppy at the time - a German Shepherd called Kelso. He was 12 weeks when I went into hospital and OH and the kids used to bring him to visit me - I would be sat in the garden wrapped in blankets with him layed across my feet. He's huge now and still thinks I need protecting.

Arh, that brings up a lovely picture in my mind :D:D but   to the chinese and indian just after leaving hospital  I suppose you'd had a couple of months in hospital for your stoma and system to get used to each other, whereas Alan has only had about 4 weeks but am loving the thought of him being able to eat that lot by May :rotfl: :rotfl:
