why, hello darling - I am off to bed now. 12.30 am isn't too far off midnight is it?
I am on quite strong AD's Angie, and had 2 x whiskey & diet coke again tonight, so should be ok
Right, I've got to wake up little Molly, get her to run around for 5 minutes to use up some energy and then put her to bed in her cage, before going to bed myself
Night Night friends ...... such special, genuine friends - I am so lucky to have you all :AMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

My friend Linda nipped, or rather hobbled, along to see me when I got back as she wanted to make sure that I would ask her if I needed anything done. yet is offering to do my hoovering, or cooking
Linda is a fantastic friend :A:A, and good news that her consultant might be able to fix her leg so she will be in less pain and have more movement.

Poor Alan, at least he is getting the rest he needs. Hope you are able to see him awake this weekend.

Evening guys. Alan was still under the influence of the morphine today, so, although we talked, he kept dozing off. Nothing to report except that he is drinking water today after just having sips so far, and for the first time, he could have something off the drinks trolley - he was offered black tea, black coffee or cocoa and had a cup of black tea which he said was wonderful and the best drink he'd ever had  I don't know when he can move onto clear soup, milk in drinks, ice cream, yoghurts, etc.
After an hour and a half, he told me to get off home as he would just be sleeping, and he has asked me to tell friends not to visit when he is a drowsy as this. I got some booklets about Macmillan support as well as one about Chemo - it makes me feel better to have information about what he/I/we are facing - knowledge comforts me
When I got home I rang his eldest son but not in and I did not want to tell him about his Dad on his mobile as he could be anywhere, so I rang Alan's brother who broke down so it was very difficult. He was going to get ready straight away and go over to tell their Dad and sister, then Alan's younger son. His Dad rang me but was very upset, naturally, and I spoke to his sister too who was distraught. I have promised to text with general updates but to ring is any further news or changes. His Dad is too ill to come down and his brother K offered but I said to wait until we had more news on prognosis and treatment.
I then nipped round to Linda's for a cuppa and a chat, and when I got back there was a message from A, Alan's younger son, so I rang him back. He is determined to come down with D, elder son, during the week, so he is going to sort this out. I told him I would keep him informed by text and/or phone. He was concerned whether I was ok, so I told him I have 'my block wall up' and just carrying on as normal, for now. It is the telling people that nearly breaks down the wall though, that is tough
Reporting that I had weetabix, mullers and pear for brekkie, some cheese and crispbread later, a chunk of bread with ready meal meatballs & spag, and am eating a few Quality Street nowMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Whoops, I didn't mean to stay up this late  was printing off coupons and doing shopping list for tomorrow. I am going to pop down to the car boot in the morning to see friends there who I haven't told yet and then do my shopping. Going over to see Alan about 3 pm
