oh hun, I am so sorry
I wish they had admitted him earlier when he had the fever. The fever usually means infection
(((((((((((((((((((alan and susan)))))))))))))))))))))))
at least he is in the best place and you will get to see him Thursday.

Thanks Aesop & Boult
Alan rang at 8.30 am and said he was in pain and had not slept but they had just put him on a drip and putting him on strong antibiotics. They were going to investigate and then put a drain in
He rang again at 11 am to say that he'd been for a scan and they were getting him ready for surgery. I rang the ward he'd been transfered to and they said he was still in surgeryso I will have to ring again before I leave here at 5.30 pm'ish
I have been down to see Mam at lunch time and she is sleepy and quiet but ok, and, as normal, she ate her dinner and pudding fine
I have my case packed and all sorted now for the trip, so just having an hour or so on here to pass the timeMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Hiya guys - settled back home now
My train was 10 mins late leaving Newcastle and 22 mins late getting to P'boro and I then got a taxi home (£30.80 + £1.20 tip = £32   tip sounds mean but at least he got a good long fare tonight
Dropped my case at home and went round to Linda's for a cuppa she had put the kettle on ready after I text to see if she was up
then home and sorted through all the mail and had a sarnie before coming on here
I had rung the hospital ward before I left at 5.20 pm and the nurse said Alan had just that minute come back from theatre, that he was drowsy and nauseous but they were going to give him something for that. She couldn't tell me anything about his op data protection  but, when I said I wouldn't be home till after 10 pm tonight, she said that visiting for next of kin would be 2 pm to 8 pm, excluding evening meal time
I haven't heard from Alan but I am sure that he would have slept a lot after his op due to going without much sleep for nearly 2 weeksI am so looking forward to going over to see him tomorrow :j :j

Nearly bed time for me but .............. I have some more news
We have enough on our plate at the moment but ...... we have got another dog ....... a 9 1/2 week old puppy
About 2 weeks ago, my niece's hubbie asked me if we wanted another dog after losing Bonnie as a friend was looking for a good home for a puppy. I said no, unless it was a heart-string-pullerAfter mentioning it to Alan when he was in hospital after his appendectomy he asked me to get details, and when we got those details our heart-strings were pulled
My niece's hubbie and me picked the puppy up on Sunday afternoon and my neice and family have been looking after it for me until I could bring it home today
She is a 9 1/2 week old cross between a small Cairn Terrier dog and a small Yorkie !!!!! - popularly called Carkies. She is a little darling and is asleep beside me on the sofa right now :j :j I carried her in a small pet carrier but had her on my knee on the train and she slept 2/3rds of the journey, and was a really good girl
We have always named all our dogs names starting with B - Ben, Bonnie (1), Bimbo, Billy (1), Bonnie (2), Bess, Bily (2) and now ................. I decided to call her Molly, after my Mam, whose proper name is Florence but who has been called Molly all her lifeShe already responds to her name and comes when called
I put the paperback there to show her size ....... or lack of it
I'd best get to bed now ..................... hope Molly settlesMr 3Dogs 3-7-12
