Just wondering if anyone has done any matched betting recently? With a new address I was thinking of starting up again as I would be able to do all the easy ones again - and it was such easy money at the beginning! But wondering if anything has changed? Are the offers still there? Will pop over to the MB board next week but thought I'd ask friends first!

Long forgotten tax rebate of £356 was a nice surprise when I checked the bank today. Will add that to the remaining relocation money and write a cheque for £1500 to come off card number 2.

Good few days - parents staying so days out but not too expensive especially as there are lots of free museums around to visit! Have confessed to parents state of finances - a step forward as I haven't admitted that we are in serious debt before. Not that they can help at all (or that I would expect them to even if they could) but it is good to be up front with them - especially coming up to Christmas. So have been talking frugal living with my mother!

Has been a bit up and down over the weekend - sold 4 things on eBay for £50 total which is great as all things that have been lying about. I bought a winter jacket today from a second hand stand - £20 for a wool jacket seemed like a bargain and I needed a winter coat. But then OH got a parking ticket - so £25 more gone!! So most of the ebay money out before it is in. Still at least we have it so we are even - and we have the coat!

Parents leave tomorrow and I need to get on to making some calls and serious money saving.

Well done on fab find and ebay sales. I agree with Elantan, is the parking ticket one that can be fought as being incorrect?

Sadly don't think it can be fought. She poppe into work without her purse and parked nearby for about 10 mins while she collected something. Unfortunately the parking charges apply 7 days and she was unlucky - but she was there without a ticket so don't know what grounds we would appeal on?
