Hi Miz - nice to see you back.... I've had surgery and complications this year too - not good is it. Hope things pick up from here on in. Finding a job by next May is doable so don't give up hope on that front either...
Shaun - ouch to your food bills... There are times when I'm that naughty but - now using mysupermarket and online delivery to get back on track. Virtually all our food is supermarket branded..... often basics but not always.... We are still between £80 and £100 most weeks which I know many MSErs would tell us is still too high for a family of 4. My cupboards are full - we have quite a lot of fresh foodAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

between £80 and £100 for a family of four is good in my book ... i think sometimes we can be too strict on ourselves trying to save every last penny ... i'm trying to get my bill down to £40 a week for two that would be good ...0

Hi savingholmes - good to be back. Sorry you've had health issues too - no fun. Am feeling very positive at the moment though the house is still a worry. Am hoping to get the self-employed business going by May but I will also check out jobs - maybe part-time.0
