But sadly no sign of a sale or a rental at the moment. Don't think anyone is going anywhere in all this rain!

Happy 2012 all - hope everyone had a good (but not too pricey) break over the holidays and is fighting fit to face the new year.

I'm not doing resolutions as I never keep them but I have decided that I will be more measured in all things - I have a tendency to throw myself into things with everything then run out of steam/enthusiasm after a month or two. Instead I need to develop new habits. So ... am not going to beat myself up over the odd cappuccino or piece of mouldy bread wasted but am going to focus on the things that I know can bring in significant income. We have cut our expenses back considerably this year. Can't do much more without selling the house though will keep monitoring things. So income generation is the way to go.

Getting the dog business growing now before I really need it will do two things: 1. bring in extra money to put aside for when things are tighter and 2. give me a head start once I really need this income so this is going to be my focus.

Will drop by here to see friends and catch up - but not sure it will merit a diary so this may well be put to bed. But for once I don't feel like I am cutting and running!

    Wish me luck!

Good luck! Be sorry not to have your diary, but how exciting for you...all power to your elbow, and keep in touch!!

Miz, that sounds excellent, as per your sig! It honestly does - income generation, doing what you want to do. Understand what you mean about this maybe not being appropriate - and yes, thats an onward move, not cutting and running. I wonder if there's a small business forum for your county - run by the Chamber of Commerce or something? That would help you make more contacts and maybe give you add-ons for your business?

I'd love to hear how you get on - I'm drifting off mse myself, but my blog is linked onto my username :)

Thanks all. Will definitely be in and out to see you - but perhaps as a twice weekly rather than a 5 times a day habit - ie one that I can sustain! ;)

Good idea KC about small business groups - will look into that.

And if you - and anyone else - want to keep in touch off MSE - DM me - am on FB & Twitter and have a blog - but don't want to post details publicly here.

    See you soon.
