You're fine! Being dfw doesn't mean paying attention to it every day no matter what else is going on (except if you're Hypno, and have an egg card - my word, do you remember the trouble they gave her!).

Anyway, hope you're home, and having a good weekend with OH.

Ah yes - I do remember the egg card  - wish that I was as focused as Hypno (I would've been DF years ago alas) - but can only stand in awe of the legend that is Hypno! ;):D

But I am quite happy with how things are going. We have had a minor crisis in the vet bills and are managing it - I took £250 back from the Plan C fund to make sure there is enough in the bank (well in the overdraft) to cover the rent. And have now received the refund for the CT plus two more cheques for next month's couse - so Monday morning will pay best part of £700 into the bank and will be able to replenish and add to the Plan C fund. :T Aim is for it to be at least £2K by the end of November. Had the valuation on renting done while I was away and I calculate that we should clear about £700 a month after tax and fees which has got to be worth having. Apart from a little touching up on the paint work we could let as it is and then at least will have no utilities to cover for 6 months. Down side is we are unlikely to get tenants before the new year so we'd have to rent out till the end of June but at least that means that we would not have to pay our massive £10K penalty on the mortgage which would give us some slack in the price we can accept. And as long as I can put the Plan C fund in place we will have enough to cover the mortgage over next summer while we try to sell again. So will talk to OH (she's away till tomorrow) but seems like a sensible move to me.

Haven't been budgeting too well being away and camping out but did manage to eat free for 4 days on the course so that makes up for the slightly more expensive half of the week.

But overall things are under control and we moving forward albeit slowly!

Right Monday morning and back to it. First job today is to go to the bank and pay in those new cheques - that should ensure there is enough to cover the rent! Then I need to plan meals this week - have brought the contents of the northern freezer home so should be OK with just a few veggies, milk and bread this week. Aiming for £30.

Have a meeting this afternoon via skype then prep for my class this evening - oh and then the vet! And OH gets back some time amid all that.

When and if I will catch up on my MSE threads I don't know!

No - am back now in the furnished house - and she is back later. So the empty house really is empty again. Confused? Don't blame you.

Just had a triumphant trip to Tescos and got 3 blocks of of mature cheddar for the price of one - saved about £9! Not a brand I would buy normally but at that rate it was cheaper than the cheapy tasteless stuff! So now to work out the best way to freeze cheese - although it is OK till January so maybe I should just leave it in the fridge.... Decisions, decisions....

Off to walk the dogs and contemplate such deep questions!

like most foods from the freezer it never quite fresh,,
cut into smaller blocks ,as once thawed they wont have as long life in the fridge or
maybe grate one up for cooking so you can take a little at a time
or eat cheese sandwiches, cheese on toast, cauliflower cheese, lasagne eth 6 times a day for the next 20 days :D

Decided to keep the cheese in the fridge - it has a date to January so we should be able to use it up by then!

Full of cold the last few days which hasn't helped my get up and go - but plodding on. At least know the rent is now covered and there will be money to move to the Plan C account by the end of the week.

Apart from that struggling to do anything much but keep warm and snooze!
