Beautiful morning - wish I wasn't stuck in with this report and stuff - but it is my own fault. I have faffed around for too long and it has caught up with me!
All quiet otherwise - eBay auctions finished yesterday from which I grossed a total of .....wait for it....... drum roooolllll ......
£3!!
For two items ..... by the time you take off postage and fees I'll clear about a pound. Feeling rather like Mr B - is it worth the effort?!
Otherwise just plodding on. Will be up north again next week and have estate agent coming to look at old house with view to putting up to rent. I had forgotten to account for tax if we rent which will take a big chunk out of anything we get (will be higher rate until next May). But will do the sums - I suppose whatever we clear is money I don't have to find to pay the mortgage.
Have a lovely day everyone - hope some of you are getting out enjoying the autumn sunshine!0 -
Back up North - shattered after a 300 mile drive in the early hours and a day on my course - which is brilliant though quite emotionally challenging. Camping in old house - air bed and an old chair and the dogs for company. But at least have heating, a cooker and fridge, hot water and a bath. Tis not so bad!
Have eaten for free today - cooked meal on course then leftovers. All looking good. Think will be spending a lot of time thinking things through this week - how to progress the different things I need to do and still giving myself a chance to have time for me.
Oh and finally finished report yesterday so can at least move on from that to the other things that have piled up!!0 -
Well done on getting the report finished Miz :T
Before the old house finally went ... on the rare occassions we went back to do stuff - it felt very odd being there, gave me a weird feeling of no longer being our sanctuary.
Think part of that may have been down to it being not long after moving there, that things went seriously pearshaped for us though - so maybe transferred that onto the house _pale_ Even the furballs were restless whenever we went back there
At least you're camping out (or should that be in ? :rotfl:) in "style" with proper electricals and a bath
Even putting the heaters on when we went back ... it never seemed to warm it through

As Angel says, camping in style
I'm glad you have the dogs there tho, it sounds a bit ... forlorn, actually.
But you finished the report :j
And you have thinking time :j
I know what you mean about ebay - the minimum price books on amazon that I sell sometimes, they still make a profit, but really, its about 45p, I mean, honestly! Its the principle of the thing, as the last one I sold, just last week, made me a profit of £7, which is much better.
Hope today goes well.

Thanks all. Empty house is odd you are right KC - forlorn is a good word. We are tending to stay in the kitchen as I suppose it is the least changed room and isn't just an empty space. Am sleeping upstairs but otherwise we're all hanging out in there!
Loving the course I am on this week - learning a lot about myself and how I work - and things are coming into better focus.
On the other hand being busy with that means not much time for finance stuff or MSE - so if I am quiet that is why. Will make sure I keep track of my bank account at least and have heard from another person wanting to come on the course that I am running next month so that will be a bit more in.
Hope all well with you all - will try to keep up!0 -
Really not keeping up! Course pretty intensive in terms of time, energy and emotion. But it is brilliant - and is really helping clarify a lot of things for me.
Got another training payment for next month's course so that helps - so we are £380 up on the vet bill spend of £530 - feel good about that. Hopefully can make up the rest. But it won't be through my latest eBay sales - miscalculated postage on two cheap items - and by the time I add fees etc. I calculate I have made a total of 6p on each! :rotfl: :rotfl: Well it's not going to make me rich but at least it is not a loss - and I have got rid of two bits of clutter!!!0 -
I like it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I hadn't realised your course was *quite* this intense, so if you don't get to my diary before Sunday, I'm just posting here to let you know that Ancestry have a free long weekend for military records - details are in Martin's newsletter from yesterday.
Hope it goes well today.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Sounds tough but that you will get a lot out of it, not just in the short term, but things that will become clear say into the future as well.
As for the 6p profit.....well, what can I say :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Thanks guys - and thanks for the FH tip KC - will check that out. Hypno - you are right of course - the course has been fabulous - challenging but great. Definitely helps for the future.
Am knackered now though! Maybe next week will get back on top of MSE but have checked everything and it is all ticking over so don't think I have slipped from the plan even though I have been off line!0
