Oooh - good idea. Will do that too.0 -
Why not join us in our "Before Christmas" challenge? We will be starting again from scratch (and it is YEARS since I did it so am very rusty) but we can then all help each other along. Last time I did it I made well over £1000 before the deals started to get too complicated and time consuming to make me want to bother. Definitely worth it.
I need to open a new bank account too. Am going to get a Coop cashminder I think (unless anyone has a better recommendation?). How about as a first step we commit to do that next week DT?
can I join you please? I desperately need to make cash, taking reduction in hours at work, and will need to make extra cash elsewhere. Have been interested in match betting for a while, just not sat down and read through the thread.0 -

Of course - the more the merrier! You'll need a bank account that you are happy to bet out of and about £50 to get started. You'll also need to read that thread!!0 -

I have the first, just tried to open a cashbuilder account with co-op but he said it has been referred, so that is probably a no, but do have an account with a debit card that I can use, not linked to my main bank account.
£50 will get when paid on 5th. And number 3 will do this evening when everyone in bed and can concentrate!
thank you!0 -

Good stuff. I still need a new bank account - my old one has changed from A&L to Santander since I did it last but I suspect that isn't enough of a change to count. Will sort something out on Monday. I also need to reread the thread though I am hoping it is like riding a bike...
Good day today. Made some good progress on the report, sorted out meal plans for the week, listed some stuff on eBay, and did some house stuff. Still have a lot to do tomorrow - can't decide whether to stay up a bit and make the most of the extra hour tonight or go to bed and get up early! Suspect it may be the latter. Have been discussing Christmas with OH - nothing put aside (of course) so planning to make homemade fudge and perhaps knit a few things. Need to get my skates on with that - will see what yarn I have!0 -
Ooh, the MB thing is real! I wonder if I could do it with my Ing Direct online account? I never used that for MB, and it has the money in that I use to send to France to pay the mortgage there.
Interesting about the positive parts of Halloween! Miz, from what you describe of your lane, I think you're pretty safe in scoffing the flapjack - but I don't want to think what would happen if you did and I was wrong :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I'm a bit of a bah! humbug when it comes to christmas, easter, halloween and anything that involves spending lots of money for something that has become really commercialised. Although have made sure DS doesn't feel like that because of me, he has his halloween costume, a few well chosen xmas pressies and at Easter gets an egg from us and a few from his friends.
BUT last Halloween, wasn't expecting any trick or treaters, as the street I live on, not many kids around. Others, like my DS to young to go trick or treating. So doorbell rang, DS ran for it, like he used to, when I am telling him to ignore it, opened it, we had travellers at the door, not made much of an effort to dress up and saying trick or treat.
Well I had nothing! So went to the cupboard, found some penguins and put them in their bucket. They said we don't want penguins, I said I don't have anything else, they said, we will take money... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I laughed and said my purse is empty, enjoy the penguins. And shut the door. I had 1p in my purse!0 -

Oooh go on join us for MB! Will be fun.
I'm tending to agree on the T&T front - and realise we have an evening class on Monday 6-8 so won't be in anyway.... Minimising risks enough I wonder? :rotfl:0 -
Aesop  cheeky sods! Money indeed. Lucky to leave with the penguins I'd say!0

they weren't impressed with the penguins, but I don't take any nonsense as they would have found out, and they were DS' penguins! :rotfl:
thought might find eggs over front door in morning, but no, they moved on...0
