    Excellent.

My Overdraft has reverted back to the standard £200 now from the initial £1000 so things must be getting close.

  • I opened the Co-op account some years ago for the incentive, and preferred them over my existing bank. I like them. Also, I've not had any problems with Santander, and retained them for the high interest rate savings account.

I wouldn't close the Co-op account, I'd keep it, even if you don't like them terribly, as a feeder for other incentives. Doesn't have to be your main account. I now have 5 current accounts, and all retained for some reason.

I'll close it on the basis that if they make a similar offer in the future, I can apply again. OH has done this in the past, and has not been excluded due to having "switched" to them in the past.

Did anybody else apply through NHS Discounts? The total bonus was £225 (£200 from Co-op and £25 from NHS Discounts) and I'm just wondering how and when the £25 will be received.

I also applied via NHS Discounts and wondered the same thing. I emailed them at the time about it and they said the £25 will be paid into the account at the same time as the £200.

I was about to close mine (opened it in 2008 to get the £100 switching incentive) when this new offer popped up. Luckily this one was open to existing customers, but I'm sure they'll get wise at some point, so I think I'll close mine (after getting the £200) as well just in case. I have too many current accounts anyway (hence wanting to close this one in the first place)!

I'll be making my third deposit of £800 this week so will keep you posted re the incentive payment.

Mine should be in any time now. Going to keep it separately as my Wembley weekend fund for next month!
  • 18th November 11 was the date I got the 'official' letter.. since have made 4 monthly payments of 800. will need to chase from the 18th Feb..
  • Don't forget anyone who had a pre-arranged overdraft on this account (min £200) has in effect, already got their £200 bonus, since January, aslong as your £200 incentive is due before 4th April (:
