Hopefully the rumours are true! I could use my £200 this month! You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.0

Account opened early November.
First £800 payment 10th November. Second £800 payment 29th November. Third £800 payment 22nd December. Fourth £800 payment 20th January.
Not sure when I'll get the payment, if memory serves, switch date was about 14th Novemember and I was a little too quick with the first payment.
I'm going to make one this month too, just to be sure.0 -
I am almost ready to go for the Santander switching offer next. But I'm doing nothing until the £200 Co-Op bonus has appeared in my account. As far I see it, the t's&c's for these offers are not a detailed legally-binding contract. (see the Halifax threads!).
What could possibly go worng?!
With Santander? EVERYTHING CAN GO WRONG!!!
They are the worst company ever to deal with. I experienced how truly awful they were after they bought cahoot. At the time I had a "flexible loan account" & was paying about 6% interest on it. within a couple of months with Santander I was paying over 22% in interest!!! Couldnt believe it - they refused to freeze the interest rate too as terms stated that they could apply whatever interest rate they wanted & it took them 3 months to give me that decision after I put in an official compliant - while all the time interest continuing to accrue...
They would let me apply for a loan from them which was about 11%. I paid it off immediately with a loan from LTSB & will never ever do business with those crooks again.
Sure, there is a potential to get £130 back from them through this, but based on past experience it's just not worth the risk - as their customer ratings prove they are still the worst bank to deal with.0 -

I've got the letter here in front of me, and it says:
"the bonus will be paid in the fourth month".
Don't know where people are getting this "4 months after the criteria has been met" stuff from, but it's wrong.0 -

From the terms and conditions, which can be found here (post #8):

If there was any dispute with the bank over the deal, and it came down to between what an introductory letter states, what a customer service rep says over the phone, or what the terms and conditions state, then the terms and conditions will win out every time. The terms and conditions form part of the binding contract - a "welcome letter" wouldn't override them. You're spelling is effecting me so much. The T&C's do suggest that the payment will be made within 4 months of the criteria being met. If that's 3 months after the account opening, then payment could be a total of 7 months from that point.C'mon you Canaries!!0 -
