    Finally got my £200 credited:

    28/05/2012 CREDIT. £200.00

My switch date was 13th December...hell of an uphill batte to get this, several phone calls, each time was told it would be paid and I'd get a call back from a Manager.

Never ever got a phone call back and finally had to Escalate a formal complaint. That seems to have done the trick..

Many of us had the same response.Read through the posts.

I had very similar experience.I wrote a complaint with exact time and name of CS rep I spoke each time.I mentioned in letter that I would be referring to FOS if I don't get a reply within 8 weeks.

Received apology letter and extra £50 for my troubles..Few others in this forum also got this.

Try a written complaint to CS head.
  • Thanks for your advice.

I wrote to them and today got a reply from customer services:

"We have checked our records and unfortunately you are not eligible for the offer as you did not meet the criteria"

"The offer with regards to switching was from 17/10/2011 until 31/10/2011 and your request was received on 19/01/2012"

Thing is I have documents from them when I opened the account stating my account was part of the £200 offer.

Am I missing something here or have I been had?

I think they are strict on the switching date and the switching process, which should be done exclusively through them and not manually.
Though your account opening letter said about the £200 offer, it would be asterisked with "terms and conditions apply", which were the switch date, using their switch service and £800 per month for 3 months, after the switch.
Many in this forum, including me, mistook the last criterion as "calendar month".What Co-Op meant by "a month" was 30 days from date of switch. It was bit vague, but they must have relented on it , otherwise they wouldn't have paid my bonus.
