    Can only assume

    1) You did not request to switch all your DDs and SOs within 14 days of account opening using their dedicated switching service, or

    2) An error on the part of the Co-op (not impossible).

Suggest you complain, giving chapter and verse.

  • I filled in all the paperwork on the day with the advisor - I didn't realise that I needed to do anything else?

I got my £100 through on 16th May. My brothers hasn't come through yet.

Is there any way i can close the account without having to telephone Co-Op? Can't be bothered with the "why do you want to..." questioning.
If it's the only way though, then it's the only way.

But don't you want to say that you have ripped off a bank for a change, rather than the other way around?

Just say the truth "I only opened it for the £200 gift." :)

I just transferred mine (all of the 2 £1 SOs) to Nationwide for the 4.25% ISA offer. Perfect account closing excuse as well.

Hmmmm.....one of the reasons they told me for not paying, was I had only set up 2x£5 SO's only.
I have written complaint and waiting 8 weeks (early June)before I refer to FOS.
Is there any in the forum who is taking this route? I need advice:o

See #302 on page 16 of this thread for T&Cs

If you complied with all the T&Cs (primarily using their switching service - not switching the SOs yourself - and paying in £2,400 over the 90 days from the date they confirmed that the switch was completed [you will have received a letter with that date stated) then there should be no argument.

The T&Cs stated that you needed to use their switching service (which would transfer all DDs & SOs) and that a minimum of 2 SOs OR 2 DDs had to be switched.

I only had 2 SOs to switch ( for £2 and £3) and got my cashback...eventually.
