I have just found the link to the American site where I found the idea of 'shop at home first'. She also does a good line in beautiful photos.

I also love the site, thank you Miggy :happyhear
Well, I was going to a craft fair in Glasgow today but now I'm not. This is all good. It was one of those things where you say 'oh yes, I'd love to go with you' (and mean it) in about July, but now as a DFW and the day was dawning I was thinking 'I really don't want to have to spend the money on food/travel/can't come back with nothing'. Right up until 5pm last night I had resigned myself to going and spending but then a miracle :A someone I was talking to said she'd love to be going and so, to cut a long story short, she's going and I'm not. However, I do have to go and buy paint, varnish and accessories for a new bathroom I've had fitted but I was going to have to buy these anyway so not going to Glasgow has saved me money and given me an extra day to get on and do something.
Good news is that I've sold my items on ebay which is more into the paypal account and I've a healthy little sum to go towards Christmas presents which will also be bought on ebay.
I've signed up to Quidco to buy through on ebay
Will list some more stuff today Not looking forward to posting them all though, should they sell Not looking forward to posting them all though, should they sell
I've also signed up to Music Magpie and will be scouring the house for old cd's, dvd's etc to send to them. I don't mind if I don't get much for them I'm grateful for anything at the moment and I'd probably have to list them on ebay forever!!! and will be scouring the house for old cd's, dvd's etc to send to them. Still have my positive hat on today. I like this money saving, I love the people on here, I like knowing that I am a very different person today than I was two months ago.
Have a fantastic Sunday everyone. I shall return later with the shocking news of how much I spend in the DIY store. Not looking forward to that much but I will have the most beautiful bathroom after 15 years of avacado green (oh the shame) Free by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150 Free by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150

All bleary-eyed, I was looking forward to a sloth-day on the sofa with endless cups of tea...but you've got me thinking of all the DF-related things I could be doing instead.... *scuttles off to find yet more things to ebay*
Erm...since I'm still yawing like a trooper, any chance of a share in the Freeby energy this morning? Pleeeeeeeeease.....;)0

I too have the 'shame' - ours is YELLOW:eek: I try to kid myself that it is primrose or buttercup but it is infact yellow. Its the only However I have in the last few months got over it ( we have been in the house over 20 yrs and it was here when we moved in ). IMHO there is nothing wrong with it - it works - so why does it have to be replaced because fashion dictates - I am no follower of fashion - so it will stay until it wears out or we really cant stand it any longer - or until yellow is back in fashion Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

I have been in the house 15 years and thought the same, it served it's purpose so why change it? However last month it began to leak and decided it would attempt to escape through my kitchen ceiling  so it had to be changed!!! Insurance payout which I will probably suffer for with higher premiums for the rest of my natural Erm...since I'm still yawing like a trooper, any chance of a share in the Freeby energy this morning? All my energy has now been used up trudging round DIY stores, garden centres and Lidl - sorry Knitty.
The thought of having to start washing, filling, sanding and painting makes me want to run screaming in the direction of the pub!!!!
On the plus side - I spent £12 in Lidl!!!! My dad bought the rest coz he knows I don't have much spare cash and I am to pay him back when the insurance comes through
On the minus side - I spent £12 in Lidl!!!! I did not need to spend that cash Free by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150 Free by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150

Click on the Quote button - down there - to the right - yep that's the one. If you want to quote from multiple posts tick the bubble speech icon on each one before you hit the Quote button.
 Does that help?0
