Well you have no problem on here so a CV shouldn't be any different.
If you were as good as you think you are, you wouldn't be long term unemployed.
If things are so bad that you haven't got £10 to spare then you really are at rock bottom. Maybe this is where your attitude comes from, the personal feeling of being a failure.
Oh well, good luck with your next interview.
So everyone who is LT unemployed is a moron?
Gosh you are really nasty, aren't you? Yes I agree I am a failure - thanks. rock bottom? Try being there!
If you have 20 years experience in anything no one will interview you if they are looking for a school leaver
For the record here is one reply I had after chasing a job I applied for:
I am sorry that you have found it difficult in finding a role but from a business point of view, we wouldn’t want to recruit somebody who would be bored within 6 months of working in a role such as this. I really would recommend you look for a more senior role – you definitely have the experience to do something far more responsible.
I sincerely wish you all the best and thank you for your interest in ***.
Kind regards

That's one role; and you have already been interviewed and invited back for a day. For the sake of £10 - I can see no other option, if you are really interested in working, of going for the day.
And I'd remove the name of that person from your post - I'm sure they won't appreciate it!If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -

This is a difficult one. Sometimes you have to tone down your CV so as not to be overqualified. Also please be aware that whilst an employer may give feedback to an interview or CV they would almost never say something like "you have too much of an attitude" as it causes an argument and a problem that they have nothing to gain from.
I want to be careful here - I have no idea why you are finding it so hard to find a job - this is about possibilities. If it is your attitude then you will know it in your heart of hearts yourself.0 -
Nah I am not going as it's been established I have an attitude so there would be no point really
Why give a fig what people on here think?
Nobody here is going to give you a job are they, so see if you can borrow £10 from somebody, or could you possibly walk/cycle there and back?Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -

Bothered? No.
I don't recall calling you a moron but if that is how you see yourself then that is up to you.0 -

No but you did say I wasn't as good as I thought I was & that's why I have been out of work so long so therefore I must be a moron in your eyes
I wish you all the luck in the world with your life!
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE CLOSE THIS THREAD AS THERE IS NO WAY OF DELETING IT?0 -

I have never left a job only ever been made redundant and achievements are listed honestly under headings for each job on the CV. Obstacles I wouldn't list as they are negatives but not sure how a CV shows a bad attitude as agencies have told me I have a good CV and not to change it.
And yet you've been unemployed for a considerable time.
ETA.

Don't you think that this might be indicative of the way you came over at interview?0 -
What did the hotel company say when you called and asked if they could cover your £10 travel costs as you are currently not working?
I wouldn't even apply for a job without knowing the salary. If you feel uneasy asking at interview, it is completely fine to call before even applying (therefore anonymously) and ask what range the salary will be within. Even if there is a range, they have some idea. You seem to imply it could be anything at all from £10,000 to £50,000+ - this will not be the case.
The same applies to working hours - you can ask before applying. Completely normal, as some people have other commitments (children, education, caring responsibilities, etc) which mean they need to know the hours.
Just something to bear in mind in the future (although if it was me and I didn't know at this stage, I would ask when I was attending the trial day).
My partner works in a job centre and tells me they will cover your travel costs to attend the trial day if you ask them. I would approach the company first though - many companies will pay travel costs for interviews if asked.0 -
OP, did you go and get the job? It's better to regret something I did do than to regret something that I didn’t. :EasterBun0
