Still havent started this challenge yet, due to not being paid yet, and any money i spend or save in january is decembers pay so its cheating for me. Went out last night and spent a wopping £120, ouch. But ah well.
But got my finances sorted out and my accounts, so i dont have to worry about anything, all my bills come of one account whilst my main account is for spending money, i leave myself £200 spending money a month and the rest goes into the 2nd current account and gets saved in there, this gets distributed to regular savers etc.
Hoping to get an interest payments this month so that will be a great little bonus to help me on my merry way. Also got the sealed pot challenge which im going to open in december, and this will give my end of year savings a big boost.
Im going to count all my savings the day before i get paid each month and this will give me an accurate sum of money i have saved each month.
Keep saving all, think of the rewards at the end when you have thousands

nothing happening much here in the way of sving...I just handed over 50 sheets at the hairdressers but I feel 10 years younger!
On the plus side I found 2 coins today (5ps) so put them in my sealed pot.

£2 coin in the pot and £1.45 in the virtual pot today. Can't wait to shock my DH at the end of the month by telling him just how much I have managed to save this month as he has no idea:D I am hoping it will spur him on too:D
I'm waiting to shock other half also - hoping it will inspire him to join me and I can up my goal of £6000 to joint goal of £12000!0 -
Count me in too guys.
I joined this board because of this thread. I aim to save atleast 7.5k. 5-6k is probably more realistic but i'll try my best.
250 so far :L0 -

I figure that I won't be able to count next December's pay so may as well count this December's pay because the Saving itself is done in 2012! It'll still be 12 lots of salary this year and onto bigger and better things (hopefully!) in 2013!
