Payday so £800 moved into savings, bringing my total to £3500. I'm a little bit behind the £1000 a month needed, but have been keeping my spreadsheet and can see where to make more savings (whether I will manage it or not is another question!). Also going to list a few items on ebay and get a few more pennies.
Well done everyone - really motivating to see everyone doing so well![STRIKE]Debt Jan 09 = £10,046[/STRIKE] Debt-free since 16/12/2011

Managed £650 for April, £250 shares, £300 FD regular saver, and £100 into the car fund. It brings me up to £2650 for the year so far so falling a bit behind now but it always was a big target to aim at, especially with trying to overpay the mortgage too - combine the two and i'm doing alright

May should be better, so will see if I can catch up a bit!0 -
Try not to be so hard on yourselves.
I felt like I wasnt doing enough but I'm getting married on 20th July so I may have to dip into what I've saved so far to pay for silly things I havent accounted for. It's all ££££ ££££ but I'm proud of myself so far.
I look forward to reading the rest of the updates, keep them coming.

I knew April and May would be tough with all my car payments going out (budgeted about £1k) but on top of that my car has broken down twice and I've just paid £430 to get it fixed, so upsetting. This is on top of a VERY expensive April due to excessive dating (some good news at least!) So I'm about a month behind where I predicted I would be and won't be able to continue with the saving until June I think.

Oooo tell us more about the excessive dating trixie4!
I've got a plan so cunning you could put a tail on it and call it a weasel.0 -
We ended up at £1,127.90 for Apr 12

Also invested £270 (post fees) in shares; this isn't included in the above figure.
I think that usually/from now on our monthly savings will <£900 - this month was more of a one-off again - but the aim of £12k in 2012 will hopefully still be met.0 -
Hello everyone!
