You do talk rubbish. What would be the point of my getting her ferry ticket with her name on it, or her receipts for things paid through her bank account. You think that would prove that I was there? Of course it wouldn't.
Presumably, it would if your name was on it; otherwise no. Having not booked you on myself, I couldn't tell from here.
I find it amazing how the people on here go abroad, never take any money out, never appear on any paperwork, never spend money on credit or debits cards, never take photos and never bring home any odd receipts upon their return. If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -

most take money with them / travellers cheques
people don't keep tickets as a reminder
people spend cash
how many (straight) men do you know that take lots of photos on holidays?
you can't return it so why bring back receipts?0 -

You obviously haven't met my husband, he takes hundreds of pictures on holiday.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

So you keep saying. You use cash - I get it.
I can't remember the last time I saw anyone buying shopping over £10 with cash, or fuel. Most people I encounter in shops and garages are paying with cards.
And buying tickets for a ferry or train, these days you buy them online rather than drive all the way to Folkestone and pay cash. And you usually get an email to say 'print this off, it is your e-ticket'. Some people even [shock horror] take out travel insurance, and if in a camper I'd expect Euro assistance to be purchased.
I'm sure if you had been accused of a crime and had to prove that you were elsewhere, some evidence would show up pretty fast.
Perhaps cards haven't reached your neck of the woods. I can appreciate that. Either that or you are working for the secret service. Or just trying to be argumentative.
However none of it matters, as the OP was lying and doesn't have any of these things, as they didn't actually go.If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
I'd Keep up the lie.
You can get fake passport stamps for quite cheap.
You can photoshop pics of yourself in other countries (although the whole idea of them wanting to see your photos as proof in the first place sounds bizarre)
It's kind of hard for people to prove that you aren't telling the truth, really...0 -

The employer doesn't need to prove the OP isn't telling the truth - the Op does have to prove that they are. That is the condition on being given the job. Don't prove it, then no job. Simples!
Oh and by the way - putting false passport stamps in your passport is a criminal offence. You are not supposed to interfere with any official documentation of identity.0 -
I've been back from a weeks holiday in Portugal for a week now and I have no evidence I went, except photos - and I'm not in the photos so they prove nothing. My passport wasn't stamped, I'v chucked away the printed boarding cards, insurance details, resort booking details as they were no longer needed. I made no purchases on my card in Portugal and withdrew the cash for my Euro so my bank statement only shows a cash withdrawal.
I've got a fading tan though.
Good for you. :T:T:TIf you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
Sambucus_Nigra wrote: »No - not everyone pays cash for everything including ferry or train bookings, fuel receipts, cash withdrawals from a bank a week earlier, euro exchange receipts etc etc etc.
The list is endless - but it's a moot point seeing as the OP never went in the first place. As it's a lie.
The holidays were paid for in cash so as not to get stung with the paying by card fee, same with the euros I bought from the post office. No receipts were kept because well to put it bluntly whats the point once you've left the country you can't return anything. Boarding passes etc were all thrown away as soon as we returned home. Passport wasn't stamped because the holidays were all to Spain and Greece. No receipts for the euros because we spent all we took so the receipt for them got thrown away with the paper wallet we had them in.
I never ever use my cards abroad because of the added fees and I don't think that I am unusual in that.0 -
I've been abroad 5 times and and other than some photos, none of which I am in so would prove nothing, I have no proof of any of the trips.

The OP lied, ok that wasn't exactly smart, but I do wonder why the employers haven't considered the possibility that its not always possible to prove you have been travelling.0
