The parent and child spaces are available for you though.

It's possible to have a fairly serious but intermittent disability which limits mobility, and to be registered disabled, but not be eligible for a blue badge, (because it's on on-off problem). Please be a little cautious before deciding that people parking in disabled spaces really don't need to. The blue badge scheme is really very unfair to certain people who need the help but only sometimes.

I don't advocate anyone abusing the parent and child spaces or the disability spaces, but sometimes the situation isn't as clear cut as it seems.

i agree.... but the reason for my post, and the response, and then my response is mentioned earlier in the thread.... please see this before judging. i am honestly not trying to dis-respect anyone with a disability.... but it does state that those spaces are for badge holders only... and i do feel very sorry for the people that deserve one, but cannot get one.... but rules are rules and they have to be stuck by.... for example, a mother and son park in parent and child space.... but the mother is 60 and child is 25..... still 'parent and child' - but not needed, :) xx

    :) xx

  • Would just like to say to the lady (and i use that word VERY loosely) who was at the Walsall Store today, who pushed me out of the way, hard, banging my large pregnant tummy - literally, with her trolly..... and gave a simple response of ''you gotta be quick here!'' and never once asked if i was ok when i had to sit down to catch my breath on the display sofa....

well, i saw you get out of your car beforehand,... in the disabled spaces, and you didnt have a blue badge..... i DID report you to the manager of the store for parking there.... :)

also, my son put his sticky fingers on your car bonnet after eating a iced doughnut.... i didnt stop him.

im not usually this petty, but your attitude was terrible... good job i had a midwife appt today to check all was ok.!!

This was my original post that has started this disability 'conversation' off... :) - anyway, lets forget about it now. :) xx

Got 33 bits and the 25% off kicked in on a lot so £28.50!!!!!

Well done :) Was definitely worth getting up early for
  • I got alot of bits and pieces, jeans tops, jacket etc - I was at 3 different stores and found staff very helpful

thank you very much to the OP

My DH works in construction and it sticks in my throat to pay out alot of money for clothes that will be filthy and ripped in a few days - £1 seems much more reasonable!!!

Some people are actually crazy. I was in Tesco Corstorphine looking at the dvds and there was a few rails of stuff but it was all crap. My daghter needed a wee and en route I saw a sales assistant being attacked as she came out with some blue boxes. People were literally snatching the boxes from her as she was walking...

MAD. I didn't even bother looking as it was like a rugby scrum lol

What time was that at? CS and staff told me it wasn't on so I left it :(

  • Got up early and was in the Sl0ugh store for 7am, lucky I was otherwise wouldn't have managed to get much. Asked the CS what time the £1 clothes sale started and she said 9, about 7.30 she started to bring a couple of rails out. Between 7.30am and 10am they brought out about 8 rails in total. Managed to get 3 pairs of jeans, 4 pairs of trousers, 2 suit jackets and a t shirt. Unfortunately couldn't stay any longer as had a half day at work and needed to get back. Also managed to get a few toy and food bargains, so not a bad trip out :) Only downside was there were no kids clothes at all and that's the whole reason I went over in the first place.

About half past 3. That sucks, I wonder why they told you it wasn't on?! If its any consolation, I don't think you missed out on too much.
