Tesco 'pound shop'.

Went to Southampton and Winchester today and got a fair few bits. A couple of bits are too big a couple too small (dieting so not a problem). We've just added up all the original price labels and we came away with £186.50 worth of stuff for under £20! Anything that's too big for us will be going straight to the charity shop costs more in petrol and aggro than it's worth returning them, and then maybe someone who was unable to get to a tesco can benefit.0

The whole store is disappointing so I should have known better! Irl@m was better tho if that's any help! I must have got there slightly too late as 2 other women had some really good stuff.
That could have been me & my sis!! We went straight after school was very quiet at 1st, managed to get a couple of sweaters each, a few tops, nice scarf each, jeans for hubby, 6 tops & 3 pairs of boots for my 14 yr old for £20 very pleased with it, also staff were lovely....:D one was joking that we weren't leaving without buying a TT t-shirt!!:rotfl:
Many thanks to the OP0 -

Lol, this was about 10am so it could have been you two! I was being served by a very sullen big girl, who huffed and puffed because there was no tag on an item. If she'd have said what the problem was, one of us would have gone to get another with a tag on.....but no, the miserable cow just huffed and walked off. Silly mare!
Well done on getting some nice things!
Wonder if they'll put more out any other day!*** Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly ***
If I don't reply to you, I haven't looked back at the thread.....PM me0 -

Whilst people are moaning about Ebay sellers, I will just confess something.
I went to Tesco to look for things for me and my family, but there was very little left, and nothing in the correct sizes.
It was a 20 min drive there, and 30 minutes back. Things are a bit tight at the mo, and that's quite a bit of petrol to use.
Sooooo, I bought two items to sell to sell on Ebay, to try and cover todays petrol.
I know some people will dissaprove, but just explaining why items might end up on Ebay.0 -
Some people are actually crazy. I was in Tesco Corstorphine looking at the dvds and there was a few rails of stuff but it was all crap. My daghter needed a wee and en route I saw a sales assistant being attacked as she came out with some blue boxes. People were literally snatching the boxes from her as she was walking...
MAD. I didn't even bother looking as it was like a rugby scrum lolSarcasm
the witty will have fun
and the stupid won't get it:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
I went to sheerness store this morning about 11ish (tbh my pregnancy brain had made me totally forget about this!!) I was expecting to find nothing but to my surprise there were still some things left!! Nothing for my son or my hubbie but they did have a cute outfit for my daughter (due in jan) got a nice cardigan for me and then 4 different tops for my mum (which I would of wanted for my self if I wasnt pregnant!!) also managed to get a mens suit jacket which I will give my dad!
I was happy with what I managed to get because I worked it out would of cost me £93.50 instead it cost me £7!! Everyone was being civilised the sales assistants were upbeat!
Thank you OP!!
Good luck everyone and Thank you to all posters xx0 -
My hubby went to shereness store early this morning on the way to work and he said that he saw the staff taking the stuff straight from the back to the tills by-passing the shelves for customers on the way....Also said the staff were rude!!! I will let him know that he is better off going later in the day0
