just back from Banbur* store but there it half a rail if that. i asked if they had more to go out but they said girls had been working all night and nothing left to go out !!. i did say i can't understand that as other stores have had stock brought into the store for the sale. the lady said i knew more than her if seems !!!!!

i think like the toys and elec things , were going to have to start listing finds. its going to be hide and seek as the left hand dont know what the right hands doing in most tesco stores. hubbys passing tesco at around 9.30 so told him to go in and see if anything else is out. its about a mile walk for me so dont want to waste my time.

Now for a cup of tea :)

You are so right, the customers do know more than us (the staff). We are always the last to find out anything, you have to be in with the "in crowd" round here to find out anything. All I know is that the sale should be on all week & they don't know what stock they will have until it is delivered. We ran out in our store about dinner time & no sign of anymore stock when I left at 6.:(
  • After a useless trip to Southp**t Tesco (where there was a tiny rail) I tried Form** Tesco and managed to grab loads of great things - jeans, jumpers, cardigans and t-shirts! Altogether should have been £217 but came to £16.16!
Mens stuff is 25% off too, making mens clothes 75p each, it also did this to sone of the womens too!
Thanks to the lady (probably an MSE'r) who pointed out that the long sleeved navy/White striped t-shirts were scanning at 4p!!!

My hubby went to shereness store early this morning on the way to work and he said that he saw the staff taking the stuff straight from the back to the tills by-passing the shelves for customers on the way....Also said the staff were rude!!! I will let him know that he is better off going later in the day

lol I am glad I forgot to go until then in that case! Maybe they were so upbeat because they had got all the real bargains early on! My hubbie works in Sevenoaks so I am sending him to that one tomorrow, dont think I can be bothered to go all the way back!

Good luck everyone and Thank you to all posters xx
  • Im planning on popping in on my way to work tomorrow as hubby has day off. Hopefully they will have something out around 7am ish (we will see)

From what he told me it was crazy and they were initially denying having a sale at all until he asked about why the staff left with so much stuff.

He has got me to call and complain for him to HO but I have already told him that I doubt anything will happen and it will be the same tomorrow morning (perk of the job)

I went to Gillingham and the staff couldnt have been more helpful there they were brilliant even told me what time they were expecting their delivery and when they would be putting it out etc.

Grabbed a few bargains from Gillingham but was in a rush to get to an appointment so had to leave before the shoes and coats came out :( I was hoping for a pair of boots/flats as im still in summer flip flops at the moment when not at work and my feet are getting cold lol.
  • If you search on ebay for BNWT cherokee items there are a whopping 11,679 items............ wonder how many are things from the £1 sale?

They might have been disabled for all you know. Not having a blue badge doesn't make you not disabled.

The spaces are for BLUE BADGE holders ONLY.... i would consider myself dis-abled as i am heavily pregnant, with 2 children in tow, but would never even consider parking in a blue badge spot...

plus, the way she was hauling her trolley around, and the way she ran into the store beforehand... i very much doubt it that she was...

I was in my local store at 9.30am this morning, I hadn't realised they were doing this until I walked in to complete chaos with people everywhere, blocking the aisles with trolleys full of clothes. I did manage to get some pyjamas and slippers for my niece, a pair of trousers and shoes for me, two pairs of jeans for DS and a pair of trousers for O/H - total of £7! Most of the stuff left was either size 8 or size 22 but there was a whole rail of Take That t-shirts!

I was elbowed and pushed out of the way as people grabbed their 'bargains' - I escaped up in to Costa Coffee to get a drink to take out and left feeling very happy with my few purchases. I'm sure the local car boot sales will be full of Tesco/Cherokee items over the weekend along the huge range added to Ebay!

There was no pushing, shoving or grabbing everyone behaved with dignity.

I got two pairs of grey jeans from Wigan size 12 - 13 years for £1 each they fit me perfectly. :)
No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.
  • Went to Mereway Tesco Northampton this afternoon and it was pretty chaotic! As soon as a rail disappeared they were bringing out more stock. Heard a SA say to another that there was still loads of stock out the back.

People were as rude as ever though - one woman literally barged past me as I stepped towards a new rail and went rifling through with absolute no regard for anyone around her. So rude....

I am so tempted to go again as it is a 24hr store but hubby not too keen on the idea (putting it mildly!)

I got to the Lith£rland store at half 6 this evening and there was nothing left apart from the odd bits of kids stuff so decided to walk home instead of catching the train. If I had a car I would definitely be up in the F0rmby store!
