Actually I think a good setup is to use 18185 for all mobiles and uk landlines and Linksys for International numbers - this way you don't use up the free minutes on UK landlines when these only cost 5p per call anywayHelp me to help you :santa2:0

Does it ask for it in International format?

Managed to get through the mobile phone verification process and Nonoh allows one-off payments via Paypal. This at least should avoid any potential unauthorised payments being taken. Will see how this 120 day trial goes...
[ Edit ] First impressions:
- 2 attempts to call mobiles in China connected then disconnected after less than minute. The same 2 numbers then called thru Skype connected and stayed just fine.
- Then a 30 min call to German landline proceeded smoothly. Nonoh has an irritating habit of hanging onto the line for a minute or two after you click disconnect on the web page (phone to phone), have to wait some time before using the line again.0 -
erm.. Does anyone know how to setup the dial plan for the Linksys to use 18185 for all uk landlines and mobiles and any international to use the VOIPDiscount. My area code is 01273
Any help appreciated
Cheers!Help me to help you :santa2:0 -
Update on my Nonoh experience (signed up 10 days ago with a one-off Paypal payment):
- My weekly free minutes expired after 170 mins not 200 mins as per the Fair Use Policy.
- Once this is accepted, it is generally working well to China and the free mins kicked in again at the start of the new week. Both PC to phone and phone to phone are straightforward to use.
Mysteriously I was charged double the published rate for a phone-to-phone call to Germany which per my reading of the terms ought to have been free (same call type made 1 week earlier was free) , this call was sandwiched between other free ones. So I am currently testing their customer services form submission system to see if I get an explanation.
You can check your recent/all calls at any moment with a mouse click so the way to work it is to keep using unless an unacceptably high per minute charge is seen, just avoid those calls.
At this rate we will probably get thru our 11.75 Euros of credit in about 2 months by using it for practically all calls - cheaper that Skype flat rate or 18185. Nonoh is working out better than expected compared to some critical comments in various forums but I can see why so many people complain about mysterious charges.
Have not tested the VOIP in number - can see that using this Nonoh could be a full solution for someone who does not want to rent a fixed line at all eg students in a WiFi enabled house.0 -
I buy the phonecards online which means that you get a virtual one and not a real one they are cheaper then the ones in the shop for example I got one costing £5 for about £3:19 at http://www.linkphonecards.co.uk. One of the problems I have with the site is working out which is the better deal. There are a lot of sites like this one.I don't really have time to do too much site searching to see if this has already been listed. But for international calls it may be worth your while checking out the phone cards you can buy for 5 or 10 pounds. Quite a lot of people I speak to seem not to have heard of these, but they can be bought locally mainly from asian shops. Check their windows for posters with prices listed per country. Some do have a connection charge, but for long calls this becomes of a lessened impact. The card I used last week has UK-Australia listed as 1 pence per minute.
In principle you dial either an 0800 number ( or sometimes a local charge number) enter a secirity code from the card, followed by your number. The call will usually tell you time remaining.0 -
Update on my Nonoh experience: for a month or two I was unable to log into my account, now am able to get back in and surprise surprise, the freedays have expired. Will not be buying more credit.0
-
Do you know why you could not get back in?0
-
Nonoh I don't - sent 1 email about it no reply then suddenly I am able to log in again after 1/2 months interval. I would call it 'budget control' very likely.0

Hi everyone, I made good experience with telediscount-co-uk for phoning abroad and national. Without monthly bound. :T :j0

I am still having problems. I think I maybe buying the wrong cards. I buy cheap ones online. They are usually £5 cards but with a discount as I by them online. Howver I get the feeling that they don't last as long as they should. I buy from http://www.linkphonecards.co.uk. I phone the Sylhet area in Bangladesh.0
