Smoky babe - best wishes to your darling on her Birthday.
Morning everyone. Thankfully not quite as blustery as it has been here today. Driving the car to the garage in Cardiff today, so I'll have a moozie around the shops while I'm there. It's the first time I've been to look at the January Sales there this year - haven't I been strong willed!!!
I do hope this weather warms up again soon - I'm back to not being able to keep my eyes open in the afternoon. Even when I'm in college I'm struggling - and I am getting plenty of sleep. Perhaps it's time for me to charge my SAD light up again.
Most excited about going to Cardiff because the Lakeland there has a bargain floor (hardly 'basement' as it's on the third floor, lol). Also because I'm hoping to finally find somewhere that sells crochet hooks (seems daft to spend petrol driving 'specially to somewhere to buy one).
Righ, best sip up this tea and get moving (ok, reading more posts :D)

    Morning Kaz,

Do the SAD Lights work? I've often wondered whether it was worth getting one.

    Thanks

  • Morning all! Day off today, so planning lots of Flying, staring with the dining room, moving on to the bathroom.

Good day yesterday - won my benefit tribunal (first one) so now have a 100% record :j That won't last, though :D

Going to make a cake, and some more *everyday cookies*. Queenie, we made ginger ones (50g finely chopped stem ginger, 1-2tsp ground ginger, depending how spicy you like them). You can add this to your recipe if you like  Made spicy chickpea and courgette burgers yesterday. DD shaped them in my new burger maker, and they were delicious.
Queenie, what do you think of my Stardrops: A Users Guide Thread?

Do you think people will use it?

Is there anyway we can index it or keep it stuck to the top of the page. I am happy to monitor, index and edit it if you show me how.

    Good morning everyone,

    Happy birthday to little smokeybabe!!!!

Not a good one for me today, really good friend around last night for a chat and a drink, and she dropped the bombshell that, although it might not happen, they might not be moving to the USA in July, but going to Australia in February!!!! I know its not as if she, or anyone else is ill, but it was such a shock. I dont find it easy to make friends, and although the prospect of a lovely holiday is good, to loose such a good friend so quickly and so far is quite hard to take. I was really good though, i can see her reasons (family over in Oz (Melbourne) and they are worried about the gun culture in the states) and i didnt cry until she had gone - dont want her feeling any worse about going, i could see how hard it was for her to tell me she could be off in 4 weeks, not 6 months!!!
Anyway, must pull myself together, 2 LOs here today, and i have loits to do. One of the Los dads birthdays tomorrow, so will be making him a birthday card, and also might make a cake for her to give him. Need to pop out and get some milk and porridge, and if the bank is open when we are passing, also have some non important bits to do there.
Right, going to get DS out of bed, as i want to wash his bedding.
Have a lovely day everyone, thanks for letting me get my probs off my chest!!!
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

If it's definetley SAD you've got then yes, without a doubt. I wouldn't be up this morning if it wasn't for my SAD alarm clock (I know that for a fact, because whenever I forget to set it and only the radio alarm goes off I don't wake up - no matter how loud, lol).
I have the visor - but the MOST important thing with these lights is to get one from a reputable company. There are lots of lights claiming to be 'SAD' lights, but they have no benefits whatsoever. If you like I'll look through my list of favourites to see if I still have the web address for the company I used. I would highly recomend them - but I bought my light about 5 years ago, I expect they still sell them.
