You were lucky there, mine requests his drinks and doesn't make his own!
He did watch DS2 while I went back to bed for an hour, but that was all he did, have the rest of what I didn't get done to sort after he goes out.

Hi again
dlb - you sound a lot better than this morning and you have got so much done. I know I tend to stick in if I am angry or upset. Great news about the machine from freecycle. You are doing a wonderful job!
lil-me - hope you are feeling better. Men can be such unthinking slobs can't they?
Blairweech - congrats - your earlier post didn't sound too promising. Well done and never sell yourself short!
twink - you must be so worried about your son. So glad he phoned you.
Hope weather has abated for you all. Not a bad day up here today.

- and I swear that when I was stressed about buying my flat I didn't get any work done for about 2 months!
I really would like to go straight home this evening but I have just been reminded that I am supposed to go to somebody's birthday drinks do. Am aiming to pop in for half an hour or so and not spend (or drink) too much! I hate London bars on Friday evenings (don't like crowds much) Is it tonight that American Idol starts? I do love the early rounds...
Edit: oh and CONGRATULATIONS on the job, Blairweech!Operation Get in Shape

craftyscholar - I make that pledge every time I clean fridge or freezer. Last time fridge was so bad DH phoned me at work to ask where hairdrier was (I use this for a quick defrost) so he could defrost fridge. He said if he didn't do it, there would be no ice for my daily G&T. Suffice to say I gave him precise directions and instructions!
The darling man (should I start calling him Dear Retired House Husband (DRHH)!) called in to Asda on way home from gym to pick up some more gin as he knows I must have my Friday night fix of two!!!0 -
Hi all,
I am absolutely tired out. I went to group therapy this morning and then on to Makro to do some shopping for healthy stuff to feed OH on now he has had his early warning. Then went to do a mystery shop and buy some books for OH from the charity shop - all books 50p.
OH went to GP this morning and she has told him he cannot work until he has seen the cardiologist. Luckily he has private health insurance as he is self employed and we will have no income if he cannot work at all!!! We have not yet managed to build up much of a rainy day fund yet! Any who he has managed to get a doc to agree to working late at the BUPA hosp in Clifton (where the Hamster was treated) and he has an appt for 5.30 today!
I made some lush fishy and tomatoey sauce to go with pasta last night and I am making something chickeny tonight.
Tommorrow is the dreaded day when the Skids are coming over. I have to make sure all is well as OH cannot cope with stress at the mo, he has to use his spray to stop the chest pains.
Where am I in all of this.
Hugs and love to all that need it.

Mushypeas - don't worry about the number of times you post. I sometimes (like just now) spend loads of time replying, commenting etc. Other times I am too busy to reply to folk personally but hope I get across (a) how much I appreciate this thread and (b) how much you all mean to me already. The down side is my work is suffering and I must resolve to motivate myself as folk are bound to notice I am getting behind! It is amazing how busy I can make myself look and then hit the minimise button when someone approaches!
Re your bag. I know it is a horrible feeling as I said when you first had it stolen. In my case in Barcelona I was surrounded by 4 teenagers and that was why I gave it up from my shoulder quite quickly. My friend and I had wandered off from the main streets and of course we looked the typical sightseers. We did give chase but that was maybe foolish. The main police station had the idiots guide to who to phone to cancel cards with all the phone numbers to phone from Spain! Fortunately my passport wasn't in it. I had been well warned about this before I went, especially by DH. I had nightmares for weeks, imagining what if they had pulled a knife etc etc! The worst part was having to rely on my friend for money etc for rest of long weekend and didn't buy perhaps as much as I would have if I had my own cards, money etc.
It is a bit of a personal violation because you know someone else has looked at your personal stuff. God, it must be 100 times worse after a ransack and burglary.
I am rambling again!!!! Hope you lot stop me when I start on that tack. Just shows how relaxed I am with you all.0
