Don't feel bad - honest you will make up once this behind you. Now we are broadband at home I don't worry about being on the internet but when we were dial up before DH retired I did all my internet stuff at work (and still do a lot of the time!!!!)

I know what it is like with ebay. I am not a seller as I really couldn't be a***d with the hassle of the photos, working out postage etc. Most of my stuff wouldn't be worth selling anyway as buyers would complain! However, I am a great buyer and have got some really good bargains there. Tried to get a mother of the bride hat when DD got married but backed out - had to be sure the colour was right. If anyone wants to see a piccie of eventual outfit I will try and sort it out for you!

Sounds like you have neighbours a bit like dlb. If you are clearing up they can't blame you. Can you contact Environmental Health and get them to come round to see the situation. Any chance you can train your pooch to do business inside (not always pleasant I know) because thenyou can prove not coming from you. Years ago we totally littered trained our rabbit who thought he was human! Shame next door's dog decided to maul him day before we went to Florida for 3 weeks. I was devastated and still have a picture of Roger on the board!
  • Did anyone see the follow up from last year on BBC2 last night.

I was so addicted to this programme last year, it was how I ended up on MSE after googling.

I can't wait to see the family of surfers who were very OS, does anyone remember them the husband made those stoves.

Anyway what a wonderful programme it was, the family was also OS and I had nothing but admiration for them. So inspiring.
think this one was on last week the ones who where making the hot pods??
Sometimes your the dog, and sometimes your the lampost..:p

    Evening everyone

Not had a chance to read today's (or even yesterday's thread) so ((hugs)) to those in need. Been really busy lately and i'm now sat here with a bottle of sauvignon blanc :D Yes, I know it's early but it's Friday and I'm not a late drinker. In fact, want an early night cos I've had such bad sleep lately.

Went to finish the major job for a client today (albeit the window that got broken isn't being repaired till next week .... bang goes any profit!!) They are pleased, so that's something and hopefully will put the word around :j

However, they did decide they wanted the room set out slightly differently than originally agreed, so I had to set to, onl my own, and move filing cabinets etc. Needless to say, I'm pooped!! I've also brought home a huge rug that they requested cleaning, so tomorrow I shall be setting to with my trusty vax!! (Never turn down ANYTHING a customer wants, eh?)

I'm also having a bit of a giggle ATm. DS2 has a friend here for tea. Both are 4 years old and it's so funny listening to them talking about the baby hamsters...

DS2 "My hamsters don't know when it's mornng yet. They are still asleep"
Friend "I can see something moving....... IT'S A LOBSTER, IT'S A LOBSTER" :rotfl: :rotfl:

Well, I hope I haven't got lobsters in the rotastak LOL. It's sweet, they are singing lovely little songs together now. Awwwwww :D

Well, not much else to report. Have kept up with the laundry and the cleaning - just. I need to bag up some more stuff for the charity shop that Mr TM has sorted out. I'm also toying with the idea of watchng the eviction from BB tonight. I've NEVER watched ANY BB, but I may just try and catch that bit - I'm dying to see Jade's face when she realises what people think of her - but maybe she's too thick for that!! Hopefully, she and BB will hit the dust fast and never surface again (but unfortunately, I doubt it)

Right, I'm being zapped by some sort of alien blaster so best go and defend myself. Have a good night.

    TM xxx

    Evening all

Just a quickie before I leave work.

you all seem to have been sooo busy today.

    Gotta say congrats to Blairweech.

dlb- ha ha to the witch. We had a posh lady lived a couple of doors from us in edinburgh, she lived in green wellies and was very nice. But she was clearly originally v v posh (plummy accent and all) but her house was abysmal - I think she must've been used to servants. Maybe you should wangle an invite to witches house (to see the fence from her side perhaps?) and then innocently ask if her maid's ill as the place seems to be a little "upset".

Plan now is to go home, settle kids in bed. Open bottle of wine, and veg out.
Got a £10 bottle reduced to £5 in asda last night. If it's any good I'll head back and get a few more in. (Trouble is if it's in the house, I drink it)

    be good all of you

  • thanks grannybroon, 40 winks would be lovely but not happening. Early night tonight tho for def. DH has no insurance but I am trying not to worry - everything happens for a reason they say.

Our hamster got out and her cage is in our junk (oh I mean spare) room. I had to move so much stuff to find her and then she kept teasing me. Coming out grabbing the food and running!

  • Not sure if we are allowed to do this but someone can take it off if I am breaking the rules. Someone on Ebay has a LG breadmaker - looks new and if you pm me I will give you the details. 20 hours to go 99p. It is not me - honest.

Just seen p&p £15 but still good buy.
