Hello all  Can't remember when I last posted, it's been one of those weeks.
I was supposed to be going to the office today (Surbiton), but pretty much all the trains likely to get me there in time were cancelled, so I had to stay home, what a shameGood ol' Virgin west coast mainline! My pennance instead was to listen to the meeting via conference call instead  Yes, all 2 1/2 hours of it, I was losing the will to live by the end.
OH is at work til 11, so I've cracked on with some weekend chores this evening, including the ironing, which I detest. I did kop out & have a takeaway for tea, but that is what I would have had when I got home from Surbiton, and I'd been looking forward to it all week! In deference to my healthy eating campaign I had nothing deep fried or with a creamy sauce, just a chicken tikka. No starter, naan or other extras :A I also did an hour in the gym.
Congrats to blairweech on the new job - well done!
((squishy)), you have my sympathies, as I've had toothache all week
((MushyPeas)) - I had my purse stolen a few years back so know how you feel. They're only possessions at the end of the day & you weren't physically harmed, but it does take a while to recover.
Right haven't even got my stinky kit out of my gym bag yet, so must crack on. Have a lovely weekend everyone0 -
thriftmonster WELL DONE YOU!!!!!! Wish I was in the same position instead of going backwards to help buy my parents' house Never mind. I love my parents to bits and would do anything to make life easier for them.
Blairweech WELL DONE YOU TOO! You won't believe me but I had a good feeling about it yesterday when you posted. You were so enthusiastic that I figured that any boss would be crazy to let you go. I hope it is everything and more that you ever wished for in a job.
Nothing happening much here tonight except Hazel the Hamster keeps pooing and peeing in her bedroom. We have reorganized her cage tonight to see if that makes a difference (I suspect XDH had the food too near the "hamster loo"). Oh god, is my life really that boring!!!!! Aaaaargggghhhhh. Give me Friday night in Sauchiehall Street anytime."Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Makes no difference - hampsters do their own thing. Cookie has a mind of his own! When cleaned out cage just pre-Xmas Cookie went ape-s**t. He was totally all over the place re-arramging. Think that is why he broke out of cage for a couple of days. He seems to be more people friendly after his escape. He loves to see me first thing in the morning and I know shake his treat bowl which I think he recognises.0 -
Just made £23.99 on ebay selling a duplicate TMX Elmo. I know others go for more than that, but I am happy with the sale, I hope he goes to good home and less clutter for me.HOW MUCH CAN YOU SAVE?: OLYMPIC CHALLENGE 2008BRONZE 10% SILVER 25% GOLD 50% PLATINUM 75%'Don't Stop me now, I'm cooking on Gas!' - Peggy Ollerenshaw - Hi-De-Hi!0

Love the OS daily thread. Thought it might be quite nice to do this if a busy day. Saves replying to all. There are folk you want to say a word or two to - others just a wee support. After all we are there because we have something to say.
Just want to say night night!0
