Jellycat40 it was a nightmare at Xmas re hampster as DGSs pet at Granny and Grandads. Had visions of uphosterly being eaten. All well that ends well. He knows - greets me first thing in the morning if I rattle his treats box. Think they are more intelligent than we think. Tikklemouse - where on earth do the lobsters come from - hampsters - lobsters so different. Wee ones have weird minds!!

Thanks for info re breadmaker and ebay. We are so strapped for space in kitchen, trying to make space for Forman grill, just 2 of us with visitors. Will just keep buying bread as we end up freezing for toast as it is. Sure someone could pick up bargain though!

Peem - well done to DH. Does make us suspicious when this happens! I always know when DH building up to something. Mind you he always says he has a senior moment when I say - I was just thinking ....!

I once had a hamster escape in a boyfriends car, it chewed through the electrics and he wasn't very amused as it was his pride and joy.

I agree about CBB, Jade is def going, its a shame they arnt going to have a crowd outside, to let her know what people are really thinking of her!!!

Catown- she was alwasy a d@@@b and I can't believe what she has done since the last time. I didn't like her first time and could't believe how much money she has made. I am tolerant re thickos but there are thickos who can't help it for whatever reason. I am now worried I am not policitaclly (sp) correct. and those who are thickos! Not referring specially but just generally. As a matter of principle not watching because I don't wan't to boost C4 ratings. I am totally disgusted.

I am now really worried - everyone has something they bring to everything!

Evening all
Exdh has gone to see a friend who is dying so he's pretty low. He is supposed to be staying here every now and then as he can work in an office locally therebye saving petrol money - his finances are a mess so i am trying to help him out but he doesn't listen (just part of the reason we split up). Anyhoo - he seems to have settled in quite nicely thank you - sorting the washing basket this morning i found lots of his unmentionables hiding in the otherwise girly stuff :eek: he attempted to go home (mum and dad's) yesterday but gave up because of the wind and came back here. I don't really mind as he's quite good company and we were friends for ages before we started going out and are still friends now but it would be nice to have the house to myself again. dd has offered to have him at hers next week.
My freezer challenge was depressing - tonights greeny-gray offering turned out to be nothing more exciting than veg stock so it's now in the SC with some veggies for soup which meant i had to rethink dinner - baked potatoes, beans and eggs .... oh well.
dd is halfway through her weekly Friday Night Dr Who DVD Marathon ... she knows all the words off by heart - bless - I'm going to use the opportunity to get ahead with some weekend jobs.

He was being transported from the pet shop to my house and chewed a whole in the box. We did catch him eventually but I was ordered to rehome him when he escaped into the bathroom and chewed holes in 6 of dad's shirts
