I've decided to restore it and it's just syncing my many apps (218 ).

I know they'd replaced the iPod bit with the music bit but it's weird that my computer says my iPod has music on it, but it's not showing on the iPod.

I decided to backup and do a restore.

Yeh i couldnt be bothered sorting the back ups out (hate itunes takes forever and a week!) so ended up losing 177 apps. Wasnt that bothered needed a major clean out. Itll probably be something with it not defragging properly so the file names (and sizes) will show but no substance in the file.

Hope the restore works, should do!

I have so many apps but I really do use pretty much all of them. Folders come in so handy! :rotfl:

I have three folders full of photography apps (but I am a photographer so find a use for all of them ).

The restore seems to have sorted it out (although it didn't transfer my music over but I don't mind re-transferring music).

I have had a quick look through the previous post and not seen anyone with a similar prob to mine so i will ask for your help if anyone can,
i updated my ipod touch 4 to ios5 and when i try to sync to get my apps back on to my ipod i get a message that says that the ipod was not able to sync because the sync could not be started,
does anyone know how i can get my ipod to start syncing again i have tried resetting to factory settings but still get the same message,
i was also thinking about trying to roll back to the previous os if that is possible.
thanks in advance for any help.

after trying for 2 days just managed to update had to disable antivirus and windows firewall

most of the apps have gone do i just download those again?
