Just popping in to say hi. It's good to see your sister in recovering, what a huge relief that must be for you and your family.
Love how you're going to use the decanter. Having images of a butler with decanter in hand, saying the words "orange madam?" :rotfl:Diary: Conquering Debts Once and For All

Hello everyone,
My sister was supposed to be coming out of hospital last week but won't be after all as she has another abscess. I am still upset and worried about it and although she isn't in the danger she was before, I am still not feeling particularly upbeat.
Thank you so much for the lovely posts, and forgive me if I don't answer you all individually, but please know how much I appreciate it.:AIt's a bit like getting a hug.
I'd better post my spends now, lest I forget. Please don't be shocked, they are all planned spends, I just hadn't planned to spend it all quite yet
Bike oil £10
Food £45
toiletries and cleaning £5
Alcohol £10
Hair styler £45*
Trainers £85**
CDS £6
Eggs to decorate £5
Valentines day curry £23
bike £770***
Diesel £32
* My babyliss Big Hair died:eek: and, as you will know if you have ever owned one, I had to immediately buy another one, i couldn't contemplate life without it.
**and I didn't get a blister from them on Sunday on their maiden outing.:D
***Not as bad as it sounds. We had planned to get Mr B a bike this year through the cycle to work scheme, which is what I did last year to get my bike. It is all budgted for, that I would 'sell' a week's holiday pay back to work and 'buy' a bike. But they had the 2011 version of the bike we wanted for such a good price, it was cheaper to buy it there and then. So we did. So £770 down right now, but I will have an extra £50 in my pay packet each month than my budget so it will cancel it out. Now does that sound like a huge excuse or what?
I am normally a cheery kind of person, (made much easier by the fact that I live a very charmed existance with few troubles and little to worry about) so am not coping very well with this upset. In fact it makes me feel quite tired. So sorry about yet another depressing post but I promise I won't be like this forever.
All yours

Sweetie, you are coping wonderfully with a very unsettling set of circumstances...so no more Banwa-beating thankyouverymuch!
Remember to lavish some serious tlc on yourself - and be tolerant of the tiredness, get rest where you can.
Wishing your sister speedy recovery.

I'm so glad you are back and posting, was getting worried about you :A I really hope your sister improves enough to come home & soon!!
Your posts are always upbeat, but understandably you've had a pretty big shocker with your sister so I wouldn't expect them to be the same as usual - doesn't mean we don't want you to postmy god if you want to compare your posts to mine i think i would win hands down on the miserable-ness scoring
Take care of you like nora says & get rest as and when you can. Otherwise you'll end up making yourself ill and you'll be no good to anyone (just kidding lol)

Banwa,
Your posts are always lovely to read happy or sad. We can't always be upbeat all the time especially with everything you are going through at the moment. It was lovely to hear from you, I think many of us were getting a little concerned as to where you had gone.
Try and get some rest if you can, although all this stress is obviously draining, but you will make yourself poorly as well if you don't allow yourself a little bit of TLC now and then.
Really hope your sister is well enough to return home soon, wishing her a very speed y recovery.

Banwa so sorry to hear things have been tough and of your sister's illness, fingers crossed she's home soon and back to full health.
Sorry not posting a lot - I'm even worse in my own diary which I keep trying to resurrect and fail miserably.....
Well done on the money front - it's chipping away at it when we can and the figures in your sig are going down, which is the most important thing.

Hello everyone
Thank you for the lovely posts again.
Nora you always know the right things to say.:T
RFTA I'm always amazed when you post, I hope that I will keep posting in DFW when I am debt free but don't know if I am selfless enough:A
And Pinot and DFW, my sister is out of hospital.:j
I can't believe it.:D And she might be coming down to my hometown (where my parents and me and another sister lives) for some of her recuperation, which means I'll get to see her more. We are all very relieved and happy and thanking our lucky stars.
So obviously I need something to worry about now:rotfl:
Scratched some guy's car bumper in the works car park last week. Really considered listening to Small Bad Banwa and legging it, but listened to Small Good Banwa and tracked him down and confessed. So £255 later, here I am wondering if we'll ever be debt free or if my subconscious is secretly scuppering all my efforts.
Had a bit of a spendy weekend, seeing friends. I feel it was needed though, we have been slightly hermit like since 'The Journey' began and we needed to see our lovely friends to get some balance.
And then worst of all, and I know I will sound like a NIMBY (which is probably because I am one) but it looks like the request for planning permission for social housing across the road from us will get the green light. Which could devalue our house, which could mean we will be stuck in our 'starter home' for may years to come, and the plan was to move when we are debt free.
So I have an estate agent coming round tomorrow.
So probably never will be debt free.:(
