Thank you Scarlett and DFW. :D

And who's that in the middle? *rubs eyes and peers closer* Is it really you Itsa?

Not really a lot to tell you all today, but my resolution was to post every day

    Good Things about today:)
    • Second day of car share
    • Am posting 3 days on the trot
    • NSD
    • Nearly all food in fridge is gone. That could be counted as a bad thing but I am thinking it is also a good thing because I have planned well enough to have run out of everything at once.
    • Payments made, so finally my signature is just about true at last.
    • Have moved SOs around and tweaked budget so that we can probably get that pesky overdraft cleared in the next week or so
    • Mr B has had a few more hours this week and he will have a night out (in his lorry, not a fun one) tomorrow night.
    • Sister A LOT better. Moved from IC to HD unit, and off dialysis.
    Bad Things about today:(
    • Wish she would be completely better
MSE scoring - 9/10 for keeping the focus, not spending and saving where I have already budgetted (diesel)

If I am saving £2.80 every time I cut a journey to work out, I am going to put this into a virtual sealed pot and use it to buy those extras for the house I was talking about. Apart from the curtains which I might buy tomorrow. Oh and some new trainers for my battered feet at the weekend.

So, so far, Virtual Sealed Pot = £5.60

Thanks Green Saints. But she's gone back into intensive care today and back on dialysis, she wasn't doing as well as they would have liked. I am going to try not to post any more about it because even though today it has pretty much filled my every waking thought, I don't think she would like me posting about it on here even if it's anonymous.

Been up to see her for the first time. A 200 mile round trip so am pretty pooped.

Not really thought about mse today so a score of 1/10 and that's for posting.

  • Hey,

I hope you are doing well. I've got something that might cheer you up :)

Martin 'MSE' Lewis has just re-tweeted my tweet! :D It was about using a 2-4-1 voucher on a first date. I replied saying that on my first date with my BF, we split the bill 50/50. If we used the voucher, I would have only had to pay a quarter! :P

Hope you and your sister are well x

Thanks GreenSaints, Nora and DFW and anyone else who reads.

My sister is very very slowly getting better. I realise now that I have never said what is wrong with her. I think it is because I really only really found out on Thursday and it wasn't until the weekend I understood just how serious it was/is.

She has severe septicaemia. My brother in law actually got the call from the hospital to 'come immediately' last weekend. We very nearly lost her, and I'd had no idea really.

Septicaemia is really dangerous and recovery slow and uncertain. But the spells between dialysis are getting longer and she is more alert now, if still exhausted. So no one is counting their chickens quite yet, but we definitely are more positive.

It really puts things in perspective. So I haven't been able to post because all my MSE worries have been eclipsed.
