Yes, it's suitable for hand-washing but much too foamy for a front-loading machine

I use it in my washer. I don't use it on everything - mainly DS1's rugby kit etc. But you only need a tiny amount - otherwise the bubbles will be everywhere:rotfl::rotfl:Just bob a squirt on top of the clothes - not much more than you would use of fairy washing up liquid.

For the past 4 years, since finding MSE, I've used a tablespoon of any cheap washing powder, another of soda crystals and a squirt (teaspoon sized, no more) of Stardrops in my front loader. Not only gets washing perfectly clean, it's better for the machine and costs less than half the price than expensive powders.

Have done searches but can only find ideas of what to use with a carpet cleaner which I don't have but would stardrops still work on my carpet on my hands and knees?
Don't have any massive stains it's just looking a bit grubby - it's beige (WHY did I do that lol)
    Many thanks guys

Stardrops works great on carpets. Just follow the instructions on the back of the bottle re. dilution with water. I use Stardrops to clean a beige rug and to deal with spot cleaning on carpets. I tend to use a microfibre cloth. If the rug is really grubby I'll go over with a damp cloth rinsed out in clean water afterwards but normally I don't bother with this. Leave to dry and then vacuum.

Cleaned my cream bedroom carpet with Stardrops yesterday, and always spot-clean the beige lounge one. Having a dog and two cats it tends to get grubby when wet outside and Stardrops is imo, much more effective than proprietary carpet cleaners. I whip it into a good foam in the water, use a scubbing brush and just the foam so the carpet doesn't get soaked, then like adsk I don't usually bother with the rinse bit, just let it dry naturally.
