I bought a bottle about a month ago and I have to say, that after all the hype I'm a bit disappointed with it.
The first job I tried to use it for was a run of the mill boiled veg water spill on my ceramic hob...it didn't touch it, made no impression at all. The 2nd thing I tried it on was on the wall at the back of the cooker, where you get little fatty spot deposits from when you fry or from the vent at the back of the cooker....again, didn't touch it. In both instances I used it neat. I've not bothered trying to use it since and I'm unimpressed to say the least
I have the same orange bottle as everyone else, so I don't understand  I feel I must be missing something/doing something wrong - but what? I want to play toooooAug11 £193.29/£240

I don't think it's as good neat tbh, it needs water to make the foam. I use mine with water and white vinegar.
I don't know how it would fare on really greasy or dried/burnt on stains but for everyday cleaning I think it's fab0 -

Errrm no idea I just sorta chucked some in! Probably about 10% stardrops, 10% white vinegar. I think that's quite a weak mixture but it seems to work for me0 -
Cheers for that. Will put some white vinegar on my shopping list and give that a shotAug11 £193.29/£240

Hi, first time poster here.
I've managed to get some white gloss paint on my beige living room carpet, not a lot but enough for it to stand out.
The paint has dried and I'm wondering whether this product would remove the dried paint ?
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks0 -

Have searched round to see if I could pick up any tips for you, but nothing I'm afraid!
The only option seems to be to rub gently with white spirit or turps. Not sure if this would affect the colour though. House insurance? Another tip was to sand it lightly then hoover dust up?
Sorry if this has not been much help:oIn the middle of difficulty lies oppurtunity0 -

The standard mix is one-third each. It really does go a long way. My main worktop is 1500mm x 600mm and one "squirt" is enough. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -
I've joined the stardrops club :-D
Got my first bottle and was very impressed at how clean my dishes were, gonna hit the bathroom today :-D0 -
Finally managed to find some Stardrops! I've been lurking on this bit of the forum for ages. It's funny cause I remembered seeing a glass bottle of Stardrops in the window of an old-fashioned-looking chemist years ago and wondering what it was... it just seemed kind of old-fashioned, like the shop itself! Then I remembered when I read this thread - funny the things that stick in your mind!
Anyway I found this thread and decided to try it but couldn't find a bottle anywhere in Brum. Then I found one in Iceland on Erdington High Street - it's only a little branch so Iceland might be a good try to anyone who is struggling to get hold of it.
I got a bottle of standard Stardrops, the pine disinfectant version and a spray bottle of Stardrops general-purpose cleaner - I was suprised to see that after everyone recommended making up your own bottle. Do you think that's as good? I was also surprised to see they did a bathroom-only version of the spray which seemed odd as Stardrops is so versatile - I think I'll just use the general-purpose spray in the bathroom and when it's empty maybe rinse it out well and use it to make up my own Stardrops spray which will be cheaper!
They all cost £1 each, which seemed cheap though from reading the forum I think might be pricey for Stardrops!
Haven't tried it yet as I've got the lurgy and spluttering all over the place so not in the mood for cleaning yet but it's standing by for when I feel better and the house needs a good scrub!0
