Before roasting a leg or shoulder of lamb, make small slits through the skin. Stick slivers of garlic in some, small sprigs of rosemary in the others, delicious
Just remembered, my grandmother used to make rosemary ( or lavender ) shortbread. That was lovely, a real treat. You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -

I just downloaded a recipe last night from taste.com.au for lamb and rosemary pies that looked delish. You can also apparently use a whole stalk as a kebab stick and thread on you stuff to infuse it with rosemary, guess you would have to strip it a bit first. One of those things you see on Ready Steady Cook, I lurve rosemary0

If you make a madeira cake with lots of lemon zest and juice, it's really nice if you add a little bit of really finely chopped rosemary. It sounds weird but a little bit doesn't really have a savoury taste at all, and it goes really well with the lemon.0

I used to use it when I made meatballs from scratch. It also works really well with roasted vegetables or tomato dishes (it's originally a mediterainian herb).0
