Very busy today but just popping on to say to Lara - I got some specs from Glasses Direct when Groupon had a voucher offer on about a year ago, I got two pairs for £13 I think... I wouldn't do it again I have to say. The prescription was fine and the glasses were as shown on the site but the fit on my face was all wrong and they kept slipping off my nose. Plus, they didn't really suit me.

You're so right Tete. Even if I can try specs on in the shop and find the same pair online, I still wouldn't be able to get them fitted at the end. Normally they have to hairdryer the legs and bend them loads to fit. It is worth spending the money I reckon. Am thinking Vision Express with 30% student discount? I used to go to this drool-worthy mega-expensive place on Tottenham Court Road, so it's still MSE for me :D

Wish I lived near Darlington like you lot, as my cousin is an optician there!!

Trying not to get tempted to spend money. Really want to go to the BBC Good Food show again this year as we had a great day last time, but I know it's not hard and fast. I just have to remember this is why I'm clearing the debt, so I can enjoy things like this.
    Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81
    Debt September 20th 2022 £2991.68- 96.92% paid off

Not this year, have invite the parents down for Christmas. Managed to get train tickets for both of them including a disabled railcard for £60 return and they were booked last week. Also travelling the worst week with the trains.

Fair enough, Mrs Poolie hanging around too or is she off to see the folks back home?

Mrs Poolie will be around this year as there will be money to be made with the shoes. I am sick of looking at them with all the packing as they have taken over the living room and the fresh delivery of 23.6Kg doesn't help!

    Hey Birdie (and Dinah)

There's a Kurt Geiger £20 with a magazine offer here. They do Hunter fleece socks for inside wellies. They are £20. Thought you might like it as a stocking filler for your BF.

Oh no, just checked it seems to be only the women's department. But would anyone know? There's a cream pair. Hmm....

Lara - I use vision express and they're good! I've got glasses online before but my only downside was they can't do all the fancy adjusting that you get in the opticians.

Sorry I haven't been catching up and posting. Been feeling really blue since I saw my Mum on Thursday. She mentioned something about my Brother's OH I'd managed to forget that's left me feeling pretty depressed and sick to the stomach. Ugh. Found out my most favouritest wrestler is signing at Drakehouse tomorrow (Zack Ryder! We're naming our pooch after him :rotfl:) which cheered me up alot. So I lied to my Brother and said me and OH were going to go see OH's family before WWE and we'd just meet him there :o Then OH pointed out it was mean doing that to Jake, because he really likes him too. But the idea of spending a whole afternoon with his Girlfriend is still enough to make me not want to go :( I think I just need a place to vent it all out, I can't talk to any family/friends about it as it'd all link back. OH doesn't get why it's upset me so much and I can't just post it on an open forum :( I just want to eat all the biscuits!
