That's great Tink, I'm going to have to look into doing an evening class so I can get a student card! My friend has a student teacher card that she still uses for discount in DPs even though she's been qualified for 5 years, she just confuses the shop assistants so much that they give her the discount to shut her up!
Hope the baby arrives on time Starnac, only 2 weeks, how exciting! Do you know if it's pink or blue? Is your DD excited?Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Your date night sounds lovely Cinny... maybe I'm just as classy as you?!
I didn't get my £7 bargain dress in the end, they took my size off the site after refusing to put the order through so someone else must have beaten me to it, gits! Ah well, got 3 new dresses arriving today, hope they look OK!
My weekend plans consist of finding an uplighter/smaller shade for the living room as I kept smacking the light last night whilst playing Just Dance (which is awesome!), can see me breaking it soon enough! Going out with girlfriends tomorrow for a night on the town... kind of dreading it TBH, we're going out in the posh town where I never feel groomed or rich enough! Me and OH are only spending £20 on each other for Christmas hehe, we did it last year and bought lots of little things each which was quite fun. We need the money for little Poppy now so works out well.
This weekend i don't have much planned. My sister is turning up at some point, not sure whether today or tomorrow.
Birdie - i love that you need a new lightshade because of just dance haha. Glad it is good, will have to get persuading OH for my birthday!0 -

It's a blue one!! DD is so excited. She asks almost everyday if he's "popped" out yet. She makes it sound so easy
DD is having a sleepover at my parents tonight so I can have a bit of a lie in in the morning. my sister is supposed to be coming home at some point over the weekend for a couple of days too so that's my weekend as DH is working. today I aim to get most of the glossing done and start making a christmas present. I think that OH and I need to cut back on what we spend on each other for Christmas Wendz, although I reckon he would keel over if I suggested a £20 budget! We always end up panic buying more stuff the week before because we're convinced that the other person has bought more and might be disappointed with their 'haul'!
It's silly that this year I'm trying to make a lot of things but everything I tell OH about is met with a pout and him asking, 'But am I going to get that too? And make it better than everyone elses' So I'm going to have to make extras of whatever I make for him! Speaking of making pressies, my flavoured vodkas are brewing right now, got Werthers, Rhubard and Custard and blackcurrant boiled sweets lined up in jars on the counter, looks very interesting!

Urgh, thought I'd be mega energetic and get up early to clean my bike. Started at 8:30am and only just finished  That's what not cleaning a bike for 4 years will do
The depressing thing is there are still a few more layers of mud and grease on there, it will have to get another clean in the next few weeks to make it properly sparkling. The teeth on the big cogs the chain goes around (erm not sure if that's the technical term :rotfl:) are really worn. Think I will need new ones. Service would be around £70 plus parts... Aaargh!! Houses and bikes are money pits! And you should see the state of me - think I just transferred all the grime on the bike to my face, clothes and fingernails  Still I can probably cycle to uni now, and do the service after Christmas.
Oh well, OH is away for the weekend. Got a long day of work ahead and then some kind of film and nice dinner. Tomorrow got some gloss work to do too Starnac, a radiator and a small window frame. Both are about half sanded. Then I am going to make the door of our boiler cupboard into a blackboard with some snazzy blackboard paint. Got to do some work as well, then hopefully going out with an old friend, if he doesn't flake out. Happy Friday everyone!:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
Birdie- you should treat each other now as is harder when babies come along!
Lara - the bike cleaning sounds hardwork ! The door cupboard as a blackboard sounds fab.
How is everyone doing with their oct challenges? I have failed one as am now in the minus for this month, think the losing weight will prob be failed too. Doing pretty good on the surveys though.0
