October challenges aren't going great Wendz! :o Working on the presents, hope to crack on over the weekend. Same with the cards. Reviews are in my head but need to be written, no idea when I'll actually get round to that! The weight loss... well the less said the better! Although OH did just have a go at me because I've not been to the gym all week so I'm 'wasting money'... suppose I should go tonight :o

Your bike must have been filthy Lara! Hope you're clean now, grease is the worst! I also love the sound of the blackboard cupboard door! :)

I swear OH is part bloodhound; I bought Gold bars and chocolate coins last night for my pots of gold and tucked them away in my desk. After lunch I asked him if he wanted a coffee and he said, 'Yes please...with a chocolate coin and a Gold bar please!', I can't hide anything from him!

    24. Order props for photoshoot
    39. Put in Medicash claim

*61. Get NIM to call car garages re fixing the scratches from the egit who keyed the car
    *66. Do driving licence renewal
    *78. Get passport photos
    86. Do Quidco freebies list
    88. Get designs off webby and email to printer
    89. Send documents to Santander
    100. Activate o2 sim
    102. Apply to Co-op for £200 bank account
    103. Do ESA reports.

Starred things are things I can't do, or that are for NIM to do.

    Well Done NIM!

Seconded. I'm not allowed to give blood as I had a blood transfusion when I had DD but I think it's a really important thing to do. Lots of Brownie points to you NIM

Birdie how are you making the vodka?? Are you melting the sweets or something? My DH can also smell chocolate from a mile away and has always got a stash hidden somewhere. I always go to him if I fancy some chocolate and there is none in the house and he always "finds" some.

Lara DH has just painted DD's bedroom and has left a patch on one wall ready to paint with blackboard paint for her to draw on. Never thought of doing it as a notice board for us though. Good idea.

Wendz my october challenges aren't going that well either. I am actually looking forward to November when I can post new ones and start fresh :o

Dinah what props do you need for the photoshoot?

Just got a jar, threw a handful of sweets in and filled with vodka. Did it last night and the sweets are already practically dissolved, just keep giving the jars a shake whenever I walk past. Once the sweets are all gone I'm going to stick it in the freezer for a few days (not sure why, just read that it's a good idea!) then put it through a coffee filter to make sure that there are no lumps left at all. The Werthers one looks lovely and thick, like liquid toffee, mmmm. The other ones just look like red water... hope they taste OK!

I would have loved a blackboard wall when I was younger! I was always really fussy about my walls growing up, never covered my walls with posters like my friends did. I remember trying to be rebellious when I was about 4 or 5 and drawing on the wall... I drew the tiniest little picture behind a picture frame so it wouldn't be seen! :o

Go NIM! :j And be MSE by having loads of biscuits, and then two more for me.

Your list looks very manageable, Dinah! Sure you'll get some of it crossed off.
Going to tell my other half that I need a bigger present than him cinny!

I'm spoilt by my OH! I told him if we were to ever break up I'd have too high expectations from other men and become a crazy cat lady hermit creature. Saying that though, I might find a man who doesn't find it hilarious to play 'bakers oven' ugh _pale_

Bless your OH Birdie!! :rotfl: Rich is just the same, finds everything. I'm at a bit of a loss where to hide his Christmas presents. We do have empty boxes in our little storage place - from the kettle, blender ect - which would have been a great place but he's started threatening to throw them out so now I just don't know.

Waiting for my Brother to pop around for a cuppa, then when he's gone it's all systems go to prettify myself! Have a great weekend everyone xx

What's baker's oven Cinny? Sorry I haven't heard of that one. Hope it isn't really rude and I've just asked a really embarrassing question :rotfl:

Ooo cool about your DD's blackboard Starnac. It's nice to have a DIY thread-buddy :D

Birdie I had to laugh at your OH too.

I have been seriously unproductive today :( Someone give me a boot up the !!!! It means I can't enjoy that work-hard-Friday-self-righteous feeling.
