Just braved the scales and 6.4lbs lost in 13 days! I know that this will have been sped up by having a tummy bug since Sunday and having eaten no more than a piece of toast and some cherries a day, but I've drunk a LOT of fruit juice with natural sugar in it, and some milk, so I'm prepared to credit at least 2lbs of my loss to being really good with my eating in the 8 days prior to being poorly. A silver lining to having spent the last 4 days miserable with shooting pains if I eat or even drink too much. Going to attempt 2 pieces of toast today, wild thing that I am.

I was married less than a year, but in my defence I didn't know my stupid exOH (of 10 years standing at that point!) was going to marry me when I was pregnant with DD then beggar off when she was a babe in arms, best thing he ever did for us!! Thankfully we had a very small wedding and didn't spend a fortune, borrowed dress, reception in local lovely restaurant etc.
Oooh what a waste of space, definitely better off without him hon x

Ooh what app is it? I have a pedometer which is great when you remember it. And don't take it in the car, it thinks potholes count as steps.

Its called cardio trainer by Noom

I have a HTC Desire so was free in the play store :D I turn it on and set off and it maps where i have been, not sure the steps are correct but the distance seems to be about right and the map it shows me of where i have been looks right too - as good as these gps things can be. Does it in Kilometers but i use google to convert to miles.

Urgh Kittikins, what a ratbag your Ex was!

Well done on the weightloss Dinah, even if some of it was due to illness! Hope the toast goes down OK and you start to feel good again.

Had a read of your blog last night, looking good! But please change your spelling of loose to lose in your posts! It's a pet hate of mine, there are too many people in this world being loose with their o's, they need to lose one! :D

OH is currently dying of a coldy-fluey *thing* and my head hurts and I've got a scratchy throat this morning so I'm scared I've caught it. He always gets sick first then passes it onto me, and every time instead of giving me sympathy he just says 'See, I wasn't faking, it's horrible isn't it?!' :p

For you, done. I only found it once though, if I've done it elsewhere please point it out.

Was googling restaurants near where we're staying last night, and oooh so many places to make me mmmmmm. Unfortunately I can't find a nice one open on a Monday, which is our anniversary. A few nice ones are open, but they're quite family friendly so mum wants to go there with Grace on other nights.

I still can't hold Grace, she's at the unit for a check up and some results today, luckily NIM was able to get the time out of work to take her. If today is uneventful I can hold her at 10.30pm tonight :D:D:D

Setting off for our holiday tomorrow evening now, and staying a night with my dad's brother and his wife who are halfway down. Breaks the journey up a bit for Grace. NIM is having to follow after work on the Friday unfortunately, but this time in 3 days fingers crossed we'll all be sat in our stable.

That must have been hard, Kitti! But like Dinah said, sounds like you're way better off without him!

Love all the wedding stories!! My family don't "do" weddings, we all prefer to live in sin so I've only ever been to one wedding my whooole life. And I was about 6 at the time. My Sister is getting married in Vegas next late Spring/early Summer but our life plans have clashed majorly so I won't even be able to go too that :( I do, however, plan on dusting off t'old vocal chords and sending them a (hopefully) cute video of me singing a slightly altered version of Simple Plan's "Summer Paradise" And considering I don't sing 'properly' in front of anyone (OH's heard me sing nicely once in the 8 years he's known me, and that was a recording.) I hope it'll count for something :)

Can't believe you weren't keen on Brave, Birdie! I loved it! I liked the fact there wasn't a love story, and it was more about the importance of family over "one day my Prince will come". Plus I plan on having a feisty, give them hell, kind of daughter who'll need a Princess to call her own :D

Dinah - This website might help you! I need to get back to planning for hearty, healthy meals too so I'll be bookmarking your blog :) Glad Grace is doing well btw!

This SOOO much, havent seen it yet, but I loved how to train your dragon, had me in creases a few times.

Also Cinny I think you'd approve of this. I do.
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

I just thought that the whole 'magical transformation' bit had been done already. I liked the emphasis on family but I'm old school Disney, I like a love story and I like a cute sidekick! It wasn't funny enough either. Maybe I'll like it more if I watch it at home, without chattering kids and a decent picture and sound. :o

Why can't you go to Vegas next year Cinny? What a shame!

Can't believe it's nearly your 2 year anniversary guys! Where has the time gone?! :)

Just not true! You're an authoritarian, you don't like it when she's fiesty, like when she's a bottle wiggler and wants to see what's going on or escape rather than eat. She will get the stern 'Grace' from you 10x more than from me in her first few years I bet.

Aw, that's unfortunate. Why can't you go?

I've seen that website before, I've even cooked off it (decent results, healthy, cheap, sometimes bland but I guess they're geared towards one pot for kids and adults), but a lot of the nutritional info is a bit out, just looked at one now that contains 80ml of oil, but apparently no fat. By my reckoning 80ml of oil would be 75g+ of fat?

So nervous with not being at Grace's hospital appointment today, gave NIM and mum a list of questions but I bet it got left at home.

Although I love Snooki with a passion I have to agree with all of the above, bar Lady GaGa. I know she had her problems in the past, but she is a very positive role model for kids (well, more teens I guess) who need help to accept themselves. A lot of her songs give them courage, or strength, or just a sense of acceptance and a feeling of not being alone. You have to give her that.

It can't be 2 years since you two got married, that doesn't even make any sense! Seems like a year a go tops that you were planning centrepieces and other fancy things.

But we won't be able to go because after a big talk this weekend, we're going to start trying for a family within the next couple months. It's not really a matter of "I might be a land-whale by then", we just won't be able to afford to save for baby things/maternity and a big trip. And like I don't expect my Sister to put her life on hold for me, I hope she understands I can't do that for her either. Plus, the nursery is already mentally planned and we have fancy names picked out!

My Sister wasn't keen on Brave for the same reason though Birdie, I understand! It did have a feeling of not being as long or as epic as the other disney movies? But I think that's just because it wasn't set to a well known story like the others?

    Oooooh, NIM just got told!
