I blame OH, they're all his friends! And yes, the other wedding was full of strangers. And Indian strangers in traditional dress no less; the pale, red haired Scottish chick must have stood out like a sore thumb! :rotfl:
Hope you enjoy your new job.Tete_en_l'Air wrote: »What's a gowl?
I was wondering this too!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

What is it with people and weddings at the moment?!
Went to 2 over the weekend; first one we missed the ceremony because OH insisted on playing cricket for a couple of hours before hand saying "We've got plenty of time to get there!" Little did he know we would spend an hour not moving on the M25 and just about make it in time for the start of the meal!
Second wedding we just went to the evening reception of a friend of mine from uni who got very very drunk by the time we arrived at 7pm. They had hired a band to play and asked a few of us to get up on stage and sing (we all used to be the music bunch at uni, spending a lot of time writing really rubbish music). Me and a male friend did a duet of 'Sweet Child of Mine' and afterwards the bride proceeded to tell everyone how she caught me and said friend in bed together once. Then she corrected herself and said it was a different male friend and I that she had caught. Neither of these events happened and I spent about 30 minutes explaining to my OH, male friend 1's OH and male friend 2's OH that she was really drunk and was actually thinking of my old room mate from uni who used to bring guys back and sleep with them in my bed!
Safe to say it was the most embarrassing wedding I've ever been to.
Other than that had a rather quiet Bank Holiday.
Definitely going to be checking out the blog Dinah and your diary Tete. I slipped over on a cocktail sausage on the dance floor and couldn't get up at one I went to so don't feel too badDebt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -
Omg Ruby that's awful!
I'd just had knee surgery at ours so the first dance was more of a wobble, but NIM used to always dip me when we danced so I was determined we were finishing like that (even though he didn't think it was a good idea) .... cue my shoe slipping, my knee not being able to compensate, and me finishing the first dance flat on my back on the dance floor!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

With me, brides should know that they should think twice about inviting me if they have a gorgeous brother.....
