Happy 6 months to Poppy, Wendz! Doesn't feel like it's even been 6 months since you told us the news. Time is really escaping me recently!!
Attempting to kill some of it at work though, not booked in for my hair cut for a while yet. Doing that thing before of trying to figure out how to explain what I want doing when I go in. I think I'm going to go for an undercut at both sides. I think.0 -
Would love to see a pic of the hair when its done!
Just dance 3 will be great, love the dancing games. Knackered myself out on the micheal jackson one yesterday.0 -

Happy half-birthday to Poppy - can't decide if it feels like less than six months or loads more since she was born!
Lara Biutiful is fab, pretty depressing but I like that in a film. You see a very different side to Barcelona, CMD might be interested in it. I forgot it was set there til one of the characters mentioned it.
Have had a look at your SOA Dinah (and NIM!) but really have nothing to add - you know the debt-busting game at this stage and unfortunately it looks like you're being as frugal as can be so you need to think about making more not making savings.
I know you replied to Cinny's comment about having an emergency fund for the car and I understand your point of view, but in your position, I personally would want to have a little fund for things like road tax and Christmas which I paid a smallish amount into monthly, just so that December and Road Tax month didn't put me completely off kilter with debt repayments. But it's up to you guys.
I don't think £7 a month is too much for your eyebrows, sheesh! Really I don't see anywhere you can cut back. Don't know who it was now who mentioned the water meter but as yours is a fairly large family home I think having the meter could affect resale value, if you're still thinking of moving in the next few years.
Speaking of family homes - saw on the news this morning they're going to offer tax breaks to old people for downsizing so that they're 'freeing up' the family homes for young families. I don't know one young family who could afford a four bedroomed house, I don't know about anyone else?! Bliddy stoopid politicians, all they'll do is create a shortage of affordable smaller housing.
Birdie you'll soon have that amount of debt paid off with your new salary. And especially as OH now knows about it, you'll be less tempted to sneak little spends on the card (I would be anyway).
Missed out on the Boots thing, didn't check the weekly email in time - stupid work gets in the way of all my fun
Phew. Anyway. Brrrr no?Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
We're not a young family, but we do have a 4 bed house. Granted its only through extensions and it looks like a 1 or 2 bed from the road.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

On another note, I don't think I like Kirstie Allsop. I should by rights but she just gets on my nerves. Am I alone? :undecidedWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0

We did aye, but we had as much again in savings, by having 1/2 our house deposit gifted to us we then used that money on doing it up, the wedding and the far too expensive honeymoon. In hindsight we'd probably be better off if we hadn't had any help!
Nope, she grates on me too. She's far too certain everything she does is perfect and 'right'.
Watching The Great British Bake Off - I love the drama surrounding a simple biscuit!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
