Sorry to hear about your Grandad Dinah, it is a shame you couldn't see him one last time but he definitely knew how much he meant to you and as you say, he is at peace with your Grandma now. Your poor family has been through so much this year x
Is the hen do an over night thing? If so I can understand your reluctance to leave Grace (not that I'm implying in any way that she wouldn't be in the best hands NIM or that you shouldn't go Dinah) but if not I think a few hours break would be great for you and you definitely deserve it.
I don't think I have told you all yet, but I had an interview on Monday for a new job and I got it! Yay! Its still at the Uni but a different department and slightly more money and most importantly its permanent, which is a massive relief. I met with my new manager for coffee today and she's lovely, I also saw my new office which I get all to myself
It has a window and a plant so I'm happy! (I probably should mention that I was the only person they interviewed, but still... default is fine! I love default!) Well done Shrimpy, that's great news! Who cares if you were the only person they interviewed, doesn't necessarily mean you were the only applicant; you were clearly just the best option from the start!

So so sorry to hear about your Grandad Dinah - try not to feel bad about not being there at the end - he knew you loved him and have a poorly little girl to look after. Hope your Mum's OK too, horrible 18 months or so for her xxxWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Really sorry to hear about your Grandad Dinah. As you said he is with your Grandma now so that is reassuring to know.
Glad to hear Grace is continuing to be the little fighter we know she is.
Birdie - what a nightmare with the money. At least you are feeling guilty about it though otherwise you would just keep doing it.Maybe try and set yourself a budget for food and things and try not to spend any more.
Shrimpy- well done on the job, sounds great!0 -
Dinah. So sorry to hear about your grandad. You know he wasn't in pain and will be happy now he's with your grandma. He knows you would have liked to be there and im sure he would have wanted you to be with Grace if he had got to chose.
Birdie. Sorry to hear money is tight for you. Getting some extra work for your dad sounds like a good idea though. If only to help with the shortfall each month. Hope you get it sorted soonGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
