In a mean selfish way will them going on maternity leave offer you any opportunities for sort of promotion/to show them how much they need you and should give you what you want (money, responsibility..)? Or will they just expect more from you if they dont get cover in?

Expect more, our "manager" has left to go to another company and her work will just be divied out without it making the blindest bit of difference to any of us financially. I gotta get the heck outa this place. Thankfully everything else in life is going well so thats a bonus.
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

Great news that Grace is doing so well! :D

Hope everyone has had a good weekend. McFly were great on Saturday night, was a bit of a shock when we worked out that the first time we went to see them was back in 2005 and the majority of the audience wouldn't have been aware of them back then as they were all so young! Was funny though as we were grumbling about this and said that if they played one of the non-released songs from the first album then they wouldn't be singing along... and they did and they weren't! We obviously knew all the words to all the songs 'cos we're that cool! :D

I'm an oldie as well Birdie! Saw them a few weeks ago and had planned to go to London again last week but I'm on a bit of a MSE roll at the minute and decided the £50 or so it would cost would be better served towards my credit card rather than the race to the barrier to get covered in crazy bass guitarist sweat would be more sensible :money: Sensible yes, fun no! Hoping to go to Wales in August to see them (though it won't be the same!!)

I know I don't post very often on here but I'm delighted with your latest news Dinah and NIM. I always think of little Grace when I stand on the scales hoping to have lost another pound. It makes me realise jst how little she is. I'm delighted by your news this morning though :) Like starnac says, positive thinking - she's not going back there!!!

That is brilliant news about Grace!

Poppy had a lovely birthday thanks everyone. Was really busy and tiring and she now has so many toys/clothes and books i don't know what to do with them all.

Birdie - your bills are a bargain , for our two bed flat we pay £20 water, £31 electricity and £45 gas and think we owe them eek although hoping it will even out over summer. Our council tax is £176 a month too.

Glad to hear Grace is out of the NICU!

Today is a day for good news. I've just been offered a new job! Subject to references and all that jazz but it's a new job! No more washing and cleaning patients. No more dealing with shouting, angry relatives. I'm going to have such a spring in my step at work tonight!
