You heard the Duet she did with Leonard Cohen, I've a whole new level of respect for her after hearing that. She genuinely can sing without Autotune.
Will YouTube that tonightIt is very true that she is one of the rare ones who can actually sing for real, she did a concert for Radio 1 last year and was excellent.

Thanks Birdie, had a look around online and that's the kind of figures I was getting. Worked it out that after all necessities we'd have about £1500 left for savings/extra spends/OH's credit card debt. So we could do it, I was just having a panic. Interview went really well, just have to wait till monday now!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170

I think she's the real deal. I've seen her guest with other musicians and she can fairly belt out a tune! I have a friend who was a session musician at a charity concert she did last year and he said she's got real talent...completely off her rocker though0 -
Hope Grace is breathing a little easier Dinah and Nim, good that it has been picked up and monitored.
Glad Poppy had a good birthday wendz, I'm a little jealous of her present actually!
Ruby, sure you haven't but don't forget council tax (my least favourite of all bills, ours is around £135 a month bandI *think* you can look up the rates online if you know what district you will be in? Also phone line rental and Sky if you are having it, and TV licence (My second least favourite of all bills). Also, its an idea to check out the letting agency fees (if you're using one) before you move as I've found they vary a lot. Our most recent move cost a lot more than we had counted on, but of course we only found out the fees after seeing the house and setting our hearts on it, the agency was much more expensive than others we had used previously.
Sorry, that all sounds like I'm trying to put you and I'm really not! Some of that will be offset by savings on 'date' nights and travelling to see each other if you're living apart now. And you get to live together, which is amazing

Just got home to Grace's first piece of post - decided to open it in her honour rather than wait a year or so for her to get into it herself. An absolutely lovely card and book from Birdie, has had me quite weepy actually. Lovely message and the sentiment behind the book, thank you so much. xDebt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Oh I'm pleased it arrived!
Would have sent it sooner but had a total brainfart when making the card and put the wrong year on it so had to fix it!

Sure you'll have an amazing time Birdie! My Sister wanted to go purely because you could get a unicorn package?! She does have an amazing voice but it irritates me so much when she drags a song on warbling for 10 minutes
It is refreshing when you can hear someone live that sounds just like their recordings - Lana Del Rey was flawless in the Live Lounge this week.
How's Grace doing today? Is her breathing stronger?
Hope Poppy had a lovely birthday too!0 -
I saw the different package names and we were like, 'Oooh a Unicorn package!!!' then were like, '£300?! Get lost!' We've just got bog standard seat tickets, no unicorns for us
Seeing McFly tomorrow night... far too much excitement going on here today what with that, getting Gaga tickets and the prospect of going knicker shopping tomorrow morning! :jOvercome the notion that you must be ordinary. Oh yeah I had factored in TV licesense/broadband/council tax and phone line rental. We don't really want Sky at the moment (I've never had it and we're happy with freeview). Fees will dictate where we go really, there are lots of properties around here at the moment and lots of agents so might be able to fond someone with a lower rate to beat the competition!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
Bloomin heck there must be something in the water round here, one of the girls I work with announced she was pregnant a couple of months ago, another one has just announced it today, theres only 4 ladies in my office.
In a mean selfish way will them going on maternity leave offer you any opportunities for sort of promotion/to show them how much they need you and should give you what you want (money, responsibility..)? Or will they just expect more from you if they dont get cover in?0
