Glad to hear Dinah is home, although I'm sure it's strange coming home while Grace is still there.
Thanks for all the well wishes everyone. Not heard anything back yet and to be honest I'm really not confident. It wasn't the most horrific experience but I know I could have done a lot better. I know the person who did the job already (well OH does) and she gave me a lot of help but the questions I was actually asked were completely unrelated to the actual job. Will have to wait and see what happens Tuesday I guess.
As for Easter plans, I'm working all weekend (well the night shifts anyway)! Still at least I'm getting double pay for all the bank holidays!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -

Hi Dinah,
Im a long time lurker on your thread. I have read all your diaries and think what you've achieved is amazing.
I just wanted to say I hope Grace is doing ok, and wish you and your family all the best.

I can't believe how incredibly small Grace is, the cuddle pictures were adorable! She's doing so well too.
How's the painting going, Poolie? I think the DIY bank holiday adverts have got to OH as he came home last night with paint, a roll of lino, tiles and a loo seat. Then was in the bathroom until midnight diy-ing away :undecided I'm not allowed to help, what a pity :A We're trying to completely overhaul the room for under £200 though :money:
Hope everyone's enjoying their Bank Holiday weekend :easter:0 -

haven't started yet. Friday was a day with Mrs P. Saturday turned into realisation of what can I achieve this weekend. I have decided that getting some of the ceilings done would be the best idea to start with as easy enough to do walls on an evening without much hassle.
Downstairs - Bathroom and Hall are getting done and Kitchen may be considered.
Upstairs - Bathroom, Shower room and possible the study (if I can get in)
Monday will be looking at the other rooms and the stairs0 -
Really sorry to hear about your auntie Tete, sounds like she had a very rough ride of it. I'm very glad your dads treatment is going well though.
Managed to get let home late on Thursday, lots of tears leaving the hospital while Grace is still in there, felt like I was abandoning her. She's been lovely and stable for a few days, she came off the ventilator onto cpap which is a pressurised oxygen machine to basically give her some extra support, but she does the actual breathing herself, however she came off that on Thursday too, and so far she's doing really well on her own. Her doctor says in every regard she seems to be doing very well, except there is still evidence of this nec infection in her bowels, so they still aren't feeding her as that could just feed the infection if it's still there. They may start today, depends on the results of an xray this morning. I'm quite nervous tbh as the baby in the next incubator has the same thing, she was doing really well, breathing on her own, and now they've restarted feeds she's very sick again, back on a ventilator etc.
But in good news they moved Grace from intensive care to special care last night, as she's bee stable for 4 or 5 days now and no longer counts as an intensive care baby. This feels like great news, but I'm still going to be scared until I see that she's beaten this infection.
A few pics for you as I don't know if I've posted any here yet. The first one is my little wriggler at 6 days, on the ventilator. The other two are our first cuddles at 11 days. I'll try to post a picture of her ventilator free when I find my handbag later on.
If anyone wants to follow all my facebook updates, photos, videos etc of Gracie, just drop me a pm and I'll give you my details.
I'm still not feeling great since coming home, blood pressure very high, I woke last night in a panic and called the hospital to check Grace was okay (still stable as you like), but bp was still 158/128, had a headache and oddly heartburn (haven't had it before or since pregnancy), and I'm still getting used to the hormones and keep bursting out crying randomly.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Dinah she is gorgeous. Can't believe how tiny she is or how much hair she's got. Dylan's got that much now and he's 5months old!!
Don't worry about feeling emotional. That's normal after giving birth anyway never mind after what you've been through as well. Just take things as they come. If you want to cry because NIM looked at you wrong (NIM it is likely to happen ATM) then cry. It's better to look like a mad woman than to keep it all in
And I'm sure you're not the first mum to call SCBU in the middle of the night.
I feel so happy for you getting cuddles with her. You must have been so proud.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000
