We can't see her for 24 hours, which is gutting but also I'd hate to put her at risk so I can accept it. The lady caring for her today has already been down to see me and give me an update - basically she's doing well. My medication is being reviewed by a registrar apparently with a view to letting me go home, I really hope I still have some say in this as I don't want to be sent home today when mammy NIM is there, tomorrow is quite fine thank you!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

So happy that Grace is off the ventilator, what a fabulous cutie she is and I'm in awe of your strength, Dinah and NIM, she is blessed to have you as parents x
I'm sure Granny NIM will fall head over heels with her new granddaughter0 -
Hi everyone, just logged in to update my March totals for the £2012 challenge, first chance I've had since Feb I think, work is just so busy all the time and my laptop has gone kaput now too which is brilliant.
Anyway, what with one thing and another haven't been able to keep up although I did of course see the happy news on FB and got a massive shock! To anyone who's seen the pictures of Grace, I can honsetly say they don't even begin to convey how tiny she is in real life! But she's so perfect, just in miniature form. Glad that she's doing OK but sorry you're both ill! Hope it's not like the bug I caught from the (other) hospital a couple of weeks ago - never been so sick in all my life! Glad you liked the blankie, I'm supposed to be being selfish this year with my crafting (you all know how stressed I get trying to make things in time!) but when I saw how early and tiny Grace was I couldn't resist, and she only needs a little one so that helped! I thought when she's bigger you could make it into a cushion for her bed or something.
Dad is doing well on his chemo, feeling lots perkier and it doesn't knock him too sick so all's good that side of things, but my Aunty sadly died on Sunday. She had started her own chemo a few weeks ago, then was hospitalised with pneumonia two weeks ago, then she got that bug I mentioned (which we caught!) but then she was over that and they sent her home on Thursday but she fell asleep on Saturday afternoon and never woke up. Seemed sudden even though we all knew how poorly she was, she was the only girl in a family of seven kids so all her brothers idolised her - she'll be sadly missed.
Well anyway I hope everyone else is doing OK, sorry haven't had chance to catch up any more thoroughly - hopefully things will calm down soon, although I've been saying that for about a year now! xxWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Awww Tete, I'm so sorry to hear about your Aunty. *Big Hugs* to all your family. Hope your dad finishes his chemo soon.
Glad to hear Grace is off the ventilator now! Hope she gets over her possible infection soon.
Had an interview today for a job in the OH's old department in the Police. Not too confident about it really because the questions were all a bit of a curveball and nothing like what I was told to prepare for. If I don't get this one, I have no idea what I'm going to do.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -

Nice to hear from you Tete :wave: So sorry to hear about your Aunt though
I hope that the shock hasn't had a negative effect on your Dad and his treatment, I've been thinking about you and sending good vibes your way
