but can't until she works out how to poop, so we're looking forward to nappy time (not a sentence you'll hear often).

Your a mummy now, you will be constantly nappy monitoring!! Noah took 5 days before he had his first poop (he had to go back into hospital to be monitored as they were worried). I've never been so happy to see a nappy explosion!!

How lovely that Tete came to see you today!

Keep up the good work with the expressing, I found it to be quite slow for about 10 days then all of a sudden it kept coming!

On my phone so just a quick post. Great to hear from you, Dinah. Glad the c-section was a positive experiance - my Mum had my Brother by c-section and she regained her tummy until she had my sister! So happy Gracie is doing well, keep on getting all bleary eyed when I catch an update on her.

Hope the weekend is full of good news and progress for you, and this stupid fuel panic doesn't make it too hard on your family getting to see you and Grace! x

Nice to hear from you Dinah.

Lovely Grace got to meet Tete, and what a lovely thoughtful gift.

To be honest i ate quite a lot after, but i am sure the stress etc is probably playing a big part. Try and eat if you can as like you say it will help the milk. That is pretty good what you are getting , I always struggled to get much. If you do it too much you prob won't get much as i always found it better in the morning after a bit of a break.

Hi all. Yes its update time again. Grace is doing ok. On one hand she is breathing with a lot less support from the ventilator. On the other she is still not digesting and has yet to have a bowel movement. The doctor now suspects that she may have an infection, possibly something called NEC, so they have taken her off the milk for now and are giving her anti-biotics.

D had a word with doctor google about it and got herself all worked up but is a lot better now which is good and Grace is resting up after having her umbilical lines removed so all in all the picture is positive.
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

Thanks for the update NIM, I hope the anti biotics work quickly and you can get Grace back on the milk soon.

Dinah - keep away from google! Its bound to worry and stress you looking on there. The important thing is that as NIM said its all looking positive.

    Look after yourself xx

Stay away from google, Dinah!! I convinced myself Ryder had some kind of kidney problem with the amount he was drinking on there :rotfl: But then after watching him obsess with my parent's pond, remembering how hot it is and that he does have a double coat it clicked some pups are just water obsessed, and it's a way to cool down!

Hope this weekend's been lovely for everyone - the new family haven't been far from my thoughts at all.

Waiting Wrestlemania at the moment. Being quite cheeky really as we're meant to be doing this big party at my Brother's to watch it tomorrow night, but OH is at work until late and no one's willing to hold off a few hours so he can join us :( So we(I) thought 'sod'em!' we'll just be knackered for a few days because of it, and I'll try out my acting 'well, I never thought he'd win' skills tomorrow

Hope you enjoyed Wrestlemania Cinny, OH was up early this morning to set it downloading so I'm sure I'll hear all about it at lunchtime! :)

Hope that the antibiotics are making Grace feel better and that the heart scan came back OK, good news that the brain scan was good :)

How lovely of Tete to pop by too! Been thinking about coming up at some point but as it's an hour away it's a case of finding a free day to make the trip! :o

I can't quite believe the snow warnings we've been getting this morning, seems crazy after the lovely warm weather! We went on a long sunshiney walk to Fountains Abbey yesterday (and wandered around humming the Harry Potter music as part of it looks like the Hogwarts courtyard!) and ended up accepting our old age and got a dual membership to the National Trust so we can go there for picnics [STRIKE]whenever[/STRIKE] if it's nice over the summer. :) It should also help us out when we sit around sulking because there's nothing do and nowhere to go on a weekend! :p
