Yay for NIM cleaning the kitchen, if I am honest I think men are better at cleaning a lot of the time as they are more thorough.

Hope the exersises help smartcat. I heard about the snow and cold weather eek!

Not a lot going on here this weekend as OH is working both days. Managed to clean the bathroom this morning, might do a bit of hoovering later. Have just ordered OH's Mum a mug with a pic of Poppy on for christmas as argos have some photo gifts for a fiver.

Poolie, I need your help. I know you used to work for the SLC, can you help me calculate my student loan balance? I just got my letter through today with my balance as at 05/04/2011 and I'd like to know how I can work out what it is right now so I can reduce it in my sig each month.

    Debt September 20th 2022 £2991.68- 96.92% paid off

Yeah, PM me the balance as of 05/04/2011 and the monthly repayments you have made since that date. I can give you a rough idea of when you will pay it off as well.

ooh that's a good skill you've got there Poolie! I don't understand why they dont send relevant statements, it really annoys me! I have no idea exactly how much I owe but I know its heuge!!!

Cinny I've got the shred and I believe I will try it tomorrow!! Need to clear a bit of space but then I am so on it! I'll report back on my findings lol

I think OH will be paid some quidco cashback (about £25) from stuff he bought ages ago and he should get it on monday I think so that's nearly a travel card covered for this week! It's so lame how expensive travel is!

Not tooo much else to report today, had a relatively low spend day and don't have much planned for tomorrow, OH is off out though so i might be able to get some order in this place! It's really fun living together but man he is messy and between us we have far too much stuff and not enough space!

They can't send you mid-year statements as SLC are only told about repayments once a year after your employer completes the P14 return to HMRC.

oooh thank you poolie I didn't realise. Would be good if they sent you the april statement in april though! I will never pay mine back though I don't think so I guess I am resigned to it and it doesn't really matter how much I owe right now.

NIM thanks for the PM. I lookforward to hearing more/getting some email invites and in the meantime OH and I will re-read the MS thread :)
  • Hi Dinah, if you've done nothing else this weekend I hope you've at least written that engagement card. It's been bothering me, it's such an easy thing to get crossed off, would be the first thing I did!

Hope everyone's having a nice wknd - today was my designated lazy day - first day I haven't had to be anywhere for about 6 weeks. And I've not stopped yet :( Going to put a film on and get crocheting now though :)

I wasn't doing it because despite two emails she hadn't sent me her address - what's the point writing a card to just be shoved in a drawer for weeks you know. But they came for dinner last night so yes, it's been done :D

I've been ebaying hard, I was planning to do everything off the list, but it's so rare I get in the ebay groove once I started I wasn't going to make myself stop!

How did the Shred go, Tink?

Woke up to bad news today. My Dad's dog passed away last night :( She's the one that we've had health problems with constantly and her kidneys started failing her this Summer. And she'd been off her food for the past few days - but she's such a little madam she was always changing her mind on what food she wanted to eat. But last night when my Dad was putting all the other pups to bed he said he heard this long sigh and she was just, well, gone. She wasn't even 5 years old, far too young. But she was the product of greedy breeding and we did our best by her. The whole family's kind of shook up today. Silly dogs, making themselves part of the family!

Hope everyone else is having a good weekend though. OH dragged me to Ikea yesterday instead of painting where we finally got new plates. (these ones, with smaller sizes for side plates and these bowls, if anyone's interested) Also sent OH the budget for our new bathroom, I've sorted all the kitchen stuff so he can have this one. He looks slightly crazed with power.
  • Oh no sorry to hear about the doggie Cinny, what a shock - hope you're ok!

    Hurrah for the engagement card!
